Mantic Games Newsletter - Dungeon Saga : Final Countdown...

Well actually it's a four hour warning now I think...

Like 6 Hour Warning! on Facebook

6 Hour Warning

This will be the last Dungeon Saga newsletter until next year when the game is released, we promise ☺ It’s all Mars Attacks and Deadzone from now until DreadBall Xtreme ;)

We just wanted to let you know that this is your last chance to get yourself a Dungeon Master pledge:

There’s loads of stuff on offer here, from a great adventure board game you can play cooperatively with the family to the player-versus-player mode, or even Solo Play. There’s the Adventurer’s Companion to turn it into tabletop miniatures game as well as tonnes of great models for a fantastic price.

This is the dungeon adventure board game we always wanted to play, and we hope you'll join us before the campaign ends.

This is your 6 hour warning – the Dungeon Saga Kickstarter ends tonight at 11:59pm British Summer Time.

Unboxing Malifaux - Santana Ortega

Santiago's new outfits were beginning to create some awkward conversations at the Ortega's ranch...

Yes...I'm about to taunt you with another hard to get model that you'll immediately want to acquire. This one 'counts-as' Santiago in all ways for game purposes.....

'Small Box' Cover.

The Santana Ortega box contains enough parts for one miniatures...namely Santana Ortega. It also contains a stat card for her though there are no upgrade cards.

Santana Ortega - Sprue.

Santana Ortega - Stat Cards (1.5).
With the arrival of version 2 (M2E) these 1.5 version stat cards are obsolete but they are included here for the sake of completeness and/or for those people still playing 1.5. (1.5)

Santana Ortega - Stat Cards (M2E).
Most of these Santana Ortega sets will come with the above shown version cards rather than these ones. As she 'counts-as' Santiago in all regards you can just use his card to play with her in M2E...or you can use these if you have them...

Santana Ortega - Assembled.
A fairly simple model to assemble. Some parts are small but none of them are prohibitively so. It's worth noting that though the intention is for the 'zombie' to be gripping Santana's leg you can put the arms at other angles should you so desire...

Here's a few close-ups of the 'zombie'.

As a comparison picture with Santiago would be somewhat silly I've instead done a comparison with the 'Miss Terious' model...

Thoughts and comments are (as usual) most welcome.

Guest Unboxing - Slop Haulers

Introduction.
Often the fact that an ocean separates me from Wyrds HQ and the major shows means that in the short term I have to rely on the generosity of other hobbyists to bring you features on new Malifaux releases.

Recently a fine gentlemen named Sean from the 'A Wyrd Place' Facebook group has been sending me pictures of various crews he acquired at Gen Con 2014 for me to do unboxing articles on. As it's unfair to expect him to also write entire articles for me I'll be compiling these as more 'traditional' unboxing features with just the pictures and I'll do features with assembly tips and the like later on when I acquire my own sets. Should I be able to steal obtain other relevant pics I'll include those as well

...Any-one need some slop hauling?

Unboxing Malifaux - Hans

Sometimes you want things to die at a nice safe distance from yourself...Hans is particularly useful at these sort of tasks...

'Small Box' Cover.

The Hans box contains enough parts for one miniature...namely Hans. It also contains a stat card for him though there are no upgrade cards.

Hans - Sprue.

Hans - Stat Cards (M2E)

Here are the official assembly instructions should you have trouble locating them.

Hans - Assembled.
Even taking into account the two-part head this model has very few issues. The arm aligns with the rifle with no issues (well mine didn't at least) and all the other parts have very clear attachment and alignment locations.

 Some close-ups.

Here's where you'd normally find a comparison picture but unfortunately Hans is one of the few models that I don't possess the metal version of. If at some point I acquire one then I'll insert a picture here.

Thoughts and comments are (as usual) most welcome.
