"Knights of the road..."
The Steed is a 'Brit Attack' model driven by both Beefeaters and Knights for Word Forge Games post-apocalyptic miniatures game 'The Devils Run'. Of course if you've never seen the game before then those terms are meaningless to you...so first here's some background...also the missions, instructions, advanced instructions and some 'print and play' tiles, tokens and stat cards from the 'Route 666' starter set can be downloaded from here.
The Devils Run
The Devil's Run: Route 666 is a fast-moving and hard-hitting vehicular combat board game set in a post-apocalyptic America; Each player controls a gang of ramshackle vehicles and their characterful drivers as they race across the remains of America to lay claim to aid drops, food and fuel. Each gang will do whatever it takes to get to there first...bash, crash, smash, race, win!

Infighting and power-struggles had near-on decimated the Texan gang as it drove across the remnants of the Lone Star State towards the West Coast. Their leader decided to go back to his roots and developed a fully functioning travelling community of sub-gangs which follows the rules and retributions of mid-twentieth century East End London. BritAttack was born.
As the Gang settles in Pacifica, CA., the cultures and traditions of each of its travelling groups must meld and combine. If they can, this 1960s British stylised Gang will be a force to be reckoned with...Groovy Baby!

The Steed
Originally a band of four, the BeefEaters are in effect the honour guard for the sovereign of the BritAttack, Miles Ponsonby Smythe. Since Vampyr killed, Taff the fourth BeefEater the other three, English, Ireland and Scotch, have had a vendetta against the turncoat.
In recent years we have also seen the construction of the Knights, a crack force led by Scotch on a secret Crusade. These Sirs of the Realm drive jet Black Steeds (BritAttack Roadsters) and always wear their medieval style helms.

Due to the moulding process many resin models come with extraneous bits of resin that needs to be removed ranging from large lumps to smaller bits of flash and this should be removed carefully in order to avoid damaging any detail. Also it's worth noting that many resin models have a slightly greasy feel caused by the substance they use to stop them sticking to the moulds during production and this can cause issues with paint not sticking to the model properly. Carefully washing the parts in soapy water will remove this should your model be unduly affected. Parts that are bent (or that aren't and you want to be) can be corrected by heating up slightly in warm water and then bending into the required configuration.
The Steed - Unassembled
Here are pictures of both sides of the unassembled parts.
A small piece of moulding material to be removed from beneath the model towards the front was the only initial clean-up required.

The Steed - Stat and Upgrade Cards
The Steed comes with eight cards. There is a stat card for the vehicle itself, three character cards (should you wish to use all four characters including the original now deceased fourth member 'Taff' you'll need to purchase the Vampyr model as well) and four upgrades cards. Two of these upgrades are general ones that may be used with any vehicle (Twin Machineguns and the Napalm Flamer) with the Duelling Pistol and SpudGun being Brit Attack/Hunters and Brit Attack/Jets exclusive upgrades respectively.
The Steed - Assembled
You'll need to attach the rear wheels, driver torso and roll cage with their being two options for the headlights. There are a pair of gatling style machine guns that fit into the headlight slots or alternatively there are a pair of domed lights you can put in instead. I've attached the flags to this model though you can leave them off if you wish as they glue onto the outside rather than slotting in anywhere so there's no gaps to fill if you don't attach them.
Here's a few close-up pictures as well.
The Steed - Painted
Here's some official pictures from their website of painted versions.
Thoughts and comments are (as usual) most welcome.
