Warhammer Forge Newsletter #38

Warhammer Forge Newsletter # 38

Hi there,
This week we bring you an ancient monster of the deeps, rarely spoken of save in the tales of embittered sailors who have lost their ships on the high seas of the Warhammer world to one of these terrifying beasts, the Merwyrm. We also have some news about our attendance at Origins in Ohio and reservation orders for Games Day North America.
Merwyrm
The seas of the Old World are home to many dark horrors, not least of which are the dreaded Merwyrms. These ancient creatures stalk the depths of the ocean in search of prey, propelled at great speed by their long tail and sinuous body.

Dry land is no sanctuary against these voracious monsters however, and when food is scarce they have been known to assault coastal villages, devouring their inhabitants and leaving little but a trail of devastation in their wake. Many armies in the Warhammer World, particularly the High Elves, have used binding scrolls to unleash the might of Merwyrms against their enemies.

The
Merwyrm is depicted coiled around the wreck of a boat, whose hapless crew have done little to sate this vicious creature’s boundless hunger. The model measures approximately 155mm (6") long and 130mm (5") tall to the tip of its tail, and rules for these nightmares of the deep can be found in Monstrous Arcanum. The Merwyrm, designed by Trish Carden, is a multi-part resin kit that is available to pre-order now for despatch from Friday June 28th.
Forge World Events News
Origins Game Fair
The  Forge World Sales Team will be meeting up with an elite team of US staff members to bring you our first Sales stand at the Origins Game Fair at the Greater Columbus Convention Center in Ohio. The show runs from the 12th-16th June, and we’ll be there with a wide range of Forge World’s resin kits, books and modelling supplies. See us at stand 309.

Games Day North America
Saturday 27th July is the date for this year’s North American Games Day at the Cook Convention Center in Memphis. We are now taking reservation orders for this event. Although we’ll have a wide range of our resin models and books available, placing a reservation order is the best way to ensure that we’ll have the exact product you want, packed up and waiting for you at the show.
To place an order you can either telephone us on 011 44 115 900 4995, or send an e-mail entitled ‘Games Day US 2013 Reservation’ to forgeworld@gwplc.com. We will need your name, a list of the items that you wish to order and your e-mail address by Thursday 11th July. In the week prior to the event, we will send you a confirmation e-mail containing your order number, details of any items that are unavailable, and a total cost in US$ (less local sales tax) that will be payable at the event.
Thanks,

Paul
Forge World Sales Team
