Unboxing Malifaux - C.Hoffmans 'Constructs of Order'

Sometimes brass is better than flesh...

Hoffman Starter Box Set

The Box - Front and Rear.

With the unboxing articles that cover metal models I'll be taking the initial pictures without any cleaning up so you can see them 'warts and all'...

C.Hoffman.
The model comes in two parts with the usual expected flash and outer edge mould lines that are common to all metal models. The legs on the mechanical piece may need bending slightly so they are at the same level as Hoffmans.

Guardian.
As the models legs are separate I would recommend using some glue activator as it saves a lot of 'holding in place' time. The shield attaches to the arm section and has quite a large joining area but the sword arm has a far smaller area to join to. The legs only really have one viable position whereas you can vary the arms positions should you wish. I have been told by Martin at Titan Games that some people have had issues with the legs breaking at the knee joint but mine were fine.

Hunter.
Separate legs make this another model that can be somewhat fiddly to assemble. I would recommend putting the fairly sturdy rear leg in place first and then lining the front ones up appropriately to it. They bend fairly easily so you do have some slight options for altering leg positions.

Watcher.
Having only two parts this model is simple to assemble and the joining area is large. After assembling Guardian and especially Hunter this one is a piece of piss cake.

Here's them assembled and lightly tacked onto their respective bases. They'll get something nice and scenic when I get started on them properly.
