LOKA - A Game of Elemental Strategy now available to pre-order! Fanfare please: LOKA – A Game of Elemental Strategy is now available for pre-order! LOKA is a 2-4 player game where you control one or more armies of elemental fantasy warriors – Fire, Earth, Air and Water. The armies, divided into two teams, battle for supremacy using polyhedral dice, moving and fighting over a board layered with ever-changing fantasy terrain. The rules and type of pieces available to your army are inspired by traditional chess and are extremely simple. If you can already play chess, you’ll already know how to move your troops and we build on this with engaging gameplay, pitting team against team with no communication once the game begins, and an innovative combat mechanic where figures get better dice depending on the support you’ve given them.
Choose your force
In LOKA you get to choose what pieces you are going to include in your army, which means your armies can be expanded for larger, more epic battles. Do you build a small elite force of all queens or do you swamp the battlefield with pawns?
Beautiful Miniatures
Also available to purchase are the LOKA upgrade sets – one for each race. These Fire, Earth, Water and Air sets contain 18 pieces and make up a complete chess set. If you’ve always intended on building your own fantasy chess set then now is your chance! These can also be used to expand your LOKA boxed game with more pieces. LOKA is now available to pre-order from the Mantic Webstore and will be available in all good gaming stores. |

Mantic Newsletter - Loka
I pledged to this during it's 'Kickstarter' period because I liked the look of the pieces and it seemed like a nice idea. I can't remember exactly what I ordered now though, lol.
