Everything except Avatars and an new Ten Thunders Master I'm not sure if I should have just mentioned...

...can be found here. I'll try to remember to keep updating this link to the latest version ;-)

Feel free to add comments on your initial thoughts if you wish as usual they'll be most welcome.

  1. By the gods, I want to love Malifaux.

A year and a half ago, I played my first couple of games of Malifaux and loved it. I had (still have, as a matter of fact) a small McMourning crew that I enjoyed. It hasn't seen the light of day in months. Unfortunately, real life got in the way and I was never really able to play again, but that tiny spark remained.

Enter M2E. I know nothing about 2nd Ed. I want to get back into Malifaux but I am a very inexperienced table top gamer and I'm concerned that M2E might be a bad choice for me since it is just exiting beta.

    Thoughts?

    1. McMourning was in the first wave of releases and has already been thoroughly play-tested. Basically anything in the first wave was beta tested over a period of six weeks or so and was updated once a week during that period with feedback before the rulebook and cards were released. It's probably one of the most thorough beta's I've been involved in to be fair (and I play test a lot, lol) The current 'Wave 2' is basically everything that's left.

M2E is a far tighter rule-set than 1.5 and is much simpler to pick up. The changes between both editions are fairly simple and intuitive. I taught four people who had only ever played 1.5 how to play M2E in a single game ;-)
