Unboxing Malifaux - Brass Arachnid

Not everyone is afraid of spiders...some Masters may go a little too far the other way though....

The newer plastic version of the Brass Arachnid is currently only available in the Ramos Starter Set the unboxing of which can be found here. There are comparison shots at the bottom of this article should you be curious.

Blister Artwork.

Brass Arachnid - Unassembled

Brass Arachnid Stat Card (1.5)
With the advent of version 2 (M2E) these 1.5 version stat cards are obsolete but they are included here for the sake of completeness.

Brass Arachnid - Assembled
The models body is a single piece with virtually no mould lines...the legs however are all individual pieces. Though this gives you some flexibility with angle due to them fitting in a dip/indentation it also means that you'll need a bit of patience holding them in place while your glue sets...or you could use glue activator like I did, lol.

For those of you interested in such things here are some comparison shots between the original and the new versions of the Brass Arachnid. My newer version is incorrectly mounted on a 40mm base rather than a 30mm one due to my general lack of patience...

Thoughts and comments are (as usual) most welcome.

  1. I actually don't mind the older model this time around, though the new one definitly looks more 'tarantula-ey'

    1. Many of the older models are still very nice though generally the newer plastic ones are better than the original metals. There are a few exceptions to that though...
