Unboxing Malifaux - M2E Warpig

Gremlins use pigs for a wide variety of purposes...including as mounts apparently...

'Small Box' Cover.
This version was acquired via the GenCon releases and therefore appeared in my delivery in a bag rather than a box. I'm guessing that the full release will have more traditional packaging.

The Warpig 'box' contains enough parts for one miniature...namely the The Warpig. It also contains a stat cards for it though there are no upgrade cards.

Just the front I'm afraid...you'll have to buy one or get an Arsenal Deck if you want to see the back...

Here are the official assembly instructions should you have trouble locating them.

Warpig - Assembled
The Gremlin riders head is small (well he is a Gremlin) but the real issue is the unnecessarily separate and tiny arm...once you've attached it you'll see why I consider it's separate nature to be somewhat silly. Other than that the model goes together well and even the smaller parts have obvious locations. Some minor filling may be required where the legs meet the body...

Here's a comparison picture including the original metal Warpig and another also featuring the limited edition Rooster Rider version.

Thoughts and comments are (as usual) most welcome.

  1. I wasn't sure about the move to plastic but the new Warpig looks even better. Can't wait for its general release.

  2. Man! Who was it on that original sculpt? Looks like they made putty sausages and just squished them together
