Unboxing Malifaux - M2E Performer (Limited Edition)

I suppose it's understandable that at least one of the 'Showgirls' would also be a 'Show-Off'...

This was a bonus for $300 or above purchases as part of the Wyrd Games 'Black Friday' sale and therefore arrived in a bag rather than the usual Wyrd Games box...this also is technically an un-bagging rather than an un-boxing but I'm not creating a new tab, lol. It's entirely possible that this model will appear in future promotional events as previous 'Limited Edition' models have also re-appeared later...

The Performer bag contains enough parts for one miniature...namely the Performer. It also contains a stat card for her though there are no upgrade cards.

The bag has one sprue in it as well as the aforementioned card...

Should there be any assembly issues with the model then they will be listed in the appropriate section and you can view larger versions of the smaller pictures by clicking on them. Wyrd Miniatures also seem to have stopped putting instructions in things and instead give you a leaflet with a web address on it that leads to a number of links. I've put the instructions here for your convenience. Just click on it for a larger version...

The three part dress leaves a noticeable but not unreasonable line down the rear of the model and one down the side (easily hidden with a minimum of effort), the head is in two parts (separate hair) and the arms are slender but not thin. All in all it's not a tricky model to assemble at all.

It's a hard model to photograph because of the dynamic pose so there will be more than the usual four views so as to show off the model properly. If you're a Colette player you're going to want this model...

Comparison Pictures
Here's some comparison pictures between the new plastic model and the original metal 'Performers'.

Thoughts and comments are (as usual) most welcome.

  1. It might just be me, but I think her head / face seems a bit small in proportion to both her body and the heads of the other two models. Kind of spoils (for me, anyway) what would otherwise be a really cool miniature.

    1. I thought the scale matching was pretty good personally.
