Unboxing - Incursion SNAFU from Grindhouse Games (Part 1)

One of the many Kickstarters I've pledged to over the years was this interesting one from Grindhouse Games that landed on my doorstep a few weeks ago. I pledged for the full game plus the expansion and any extras so a quite substantial parcel arrived on my doorstep. I've already covered the 'Core' box here so I thought it might be a good idea to look at the SNAFU expansion now...

Information on the Kickstarter can be found here for those of you who want a bit of background on the project...you're a year or so too late to pledge though, lol.

As with the core set un-boxing I'm going to divide this one up a little. First we'll look at the box contents with a brief look at the models and then we'll have a second feature just covering the models in some detail...

The Box
A picture of the box is mandatory in such articles...so here it is...

The Instructions
The main rules obviously come with the core game. This one mainly contains extra missions as well as some 'solo' missions that look quite fun and of course has rules for the new units included in the box. Here are some sample pages...
The core box also contains an expansion booklet called 'Assets' with some extra rules, missions and the like in it for some extra models that don't come in the box but were part of the Kickstarter. Not sure how these will be bundled together should the game ever go to retail so I'm going to cover that booklet and the related models in their own article in the near future to avoid any confusion.

The Game 'Board'
The main game comes with a double-sided board of the fold-out cardboard variety though the expansion comes out with a 'paper' version. As you really need the core box to play the expansion I doubt this will be an issue. The 'submarine' section is duplicated in this box and is of the same material as the main game sections rather than also being a 'paper' one.

Tokens and Counters
The counters are off the 'push-out' variety and of  the same high quality as the main game board pieces and the extra board section included in this expansion. I've shown pictures of the back as well but it's not particularly interesting, lol.

Card Sets
The game comes with stat cards for the new MI-13 faction as well as cards for the new German SWD and US Lucky Seventh units.

The Models
The expansion comes with one new faction (MI-13) as well as extra models for the US Lucky Seventh and German SWD (Special Weapons Development). The models are detailed enough to be worthy of a close look so I'll just show some basic pictures here and we can have a detailed look in part two which will appear shortly.

Thoughts and comments are (as usual) most welcome.
