Panzerfauste Kickstarter - Orcs Review

The Panzerfaust game is a miniature wargame set in a world where armies of Gnomes, Dwarves, Orcs and many others fight a war of attrition across a mythical landscape and is currently being funded rather successfully via Kickstarter.

The link to it can be found here but hurry there's only a day or so left.

Here's a bit of an introduction in their own words.
Welcome to The Land and the world of Panzerfäuste, our exciting game of mechanised warfare in a fantasy world. Enter a world where Dwarves, Orcs, Gnomes and a plethora of other creatures continue their millennia long struggles, but with modern advances of tanks, sub-machine guns and grenades. Fight on battlefields where death is impersonal and only a heartbeat away. March your troops across green fields, through muddy trenches, over snow-capped mountains or into dank caverns... Come fight in the world of Panzerfäuste and see if you can reign supreme in The Land!

Panzerfäuste is a fun 'Historo-Fantasy' miniature wargame setting, in which 28mm scale miniatures are used to depict the everyday struggles of standard 'Tolkienesque' fantasy races such as Orcs, Dwarves and Elves fight out battles with 20th century weaponry.

I've managed to convince the fine people at Hysterical Games that I have a marginally successful blog and this shameless ruse has convinced them to send me a sample of the models around which to base an article.

Here are some pictures of the Orcs...

Panzerfauste Orcs - Group Pictures
The models are amazing quality and have a lot of detail. The main bodies are a single piece with the arms being separate and with the arms attached each model is different. The parts I was generously sent enable you to make six rank and file guys, a leader and a machine gunner.

A couple of the models can have different arms attached but generally there's one model that gives the best fit. It's possible however that I put the machine gunner arms on the wrong body as there's a body with a rifle pack on it's back...they both still look cool though so I'm not going to obsess over it...

Panzerfauste Orcs - Unassembled
Here's pictures of both sides...more or less. They have the usual minor resin related issues of thin parts that need straightening in some cases but there's surprisingly little flash and there were no air bubbles on any of them.

There are six different ones of these...I've only photographed the fronts but you can see the rear detail in the close-up pictures further down this page...

  1. The one with the long pack is the number 2 for the bren gunner. The pack contains spare barrels.

    1. I thought I'd got it wrong. Probably too late to change it now though...
