The newest figures to land on our doorstep are some priest figures forGripping Beast's Saga game. Really nice, full of character.

Crusader Miniatures has launched a new range, the Sub Romans. We've had a spear armed regiment available from Crusader Miniatures for a long time, they were originally titled The Rank and File range. What Mark Simshas done is taken those spearmen out, added more variants and lots of cavalry, and now we have a small Sub Roman range. If this isn't your period, the Sub Romans covers that part of history whenRome has pulled the legions back from the Empire, leaving the Britonsand the Gauls to deal with the Barbarians on their own. What we call theSub Romans are those warriors who've had to take the Legions place. This is a time of legends, also called the Arthurian Era, as the historicalKing Arthur is said to have reigned then, holding the Saxon Hordes back from Britain.

There are some Frostgrave releases this week. Some are not 'new' as such. They featured in the Frostgrave Nickstarterpromotions, participants of that pre-order program will already have them. The new figure though is the Zombie Snow Troll, a model designed by Alex Huntley of Warploque Miniatures. The first 100 or so have been cast in resin. If you prefer metal models, hold on, as they'll be cast in our pewter once the resin batch has sold through.

On the subject of Frostgrave and Nickstarters, the next book,'Into the Breeding Pits' will be out in July 2016. Look for theNickstarter pre-order program end of May/ beginning of June. The plastic box set to go with this book will be Gnolls. TheGnolls, like the Cultists, will be able to be used as Wizard Warband figures, or random encounters creeping around Frostgrave.

The latest issue of wargames Illustrated is out now. I recommend you get a copy if you haven't already because there are some North Star relevant articles in this one. The first is one written by me. I've written a brief history of John Churchill and his role in the war of 1672 (Our figure range of course). I've linked one of his actions to a scenario using the new rules En Garde! The army lists for the scenario are in the pages of our online magazine, which is of course free. Have a look at it, you might be inspired to buy a handful of our North Star 1672figures and charge the gates of Maastricht. The second is an article by Frostgrave author Joseph McCullough. He's added new rules for Skeleton Archers, whether part of a Necomancerwarband or a random encounter, they're firing back!  Absolutely essential for Frostgrave players.
