  Wargames Illustrated 342 is out now. A great read as always, the article of note I think is the adaptation of the rule set Lion Rampant to Napoleonics,'Eagle Rampant'. The new Giants in Miniatures from Wargames Illustrated is also available to buy, Lt Col John Frost, British Airborne at Arnhem 1944.

 The new rulebook from The Ministry of Gentlemanly Warfare is out this week. Titled 'Blood Eagle', it's a set of rules for skirmishing warbands in the Dark Ages. What makes this set different from other Dark Age skirmishes? Firstly it's based on the popular rules engine originally used for In Her Majesty's Name VSF Skirmish, then again for Daisho, Samurai Skirmish. Secondly, Blood Eagle is set in a mythical Dark Ages. This means you can face your Saxons against Vikings, but equally those Vikings may have a Troll or Giant with them. Your Irishwarband may have to face an attack from the Sidhe upon a Mid-Summers eve. Get hold of a copy, you may find it adds a new dimension to yourDark Age games. If you are waiting until Salute to buy a copy, there will be a big pile on theWargames Emporium stand.
