Unboxing Malifaux - M2E Guild Hounds

"Release the hounds..."

The Guild Hounds box contains enough parts for four miniatures...namely the Guild Hounds. It also contains stat cards for them though there are no upgrade cards.

Guild Hounds - Sprue
The box has one sprue in it as well as the aforementioned cards. Here's pictures of both sides of it...

Guild Hounds - Stat Card
Wyrd Games didn't like my publishing pictures of both sides of the stat cards so you'll have to make do with this...

Should there be any assembly issues with the model then they will be listed in the appropriate section and you can view larger versions of the smaller pictures or instruction pictures by clicking on them.

Guild Hounds - Instructions

Some General Notes on Assembly.
Many of these models contain quite small parts so depending on how dexterous you are you might consider getting yourself some tweezers. Dry-fitting is also always a good idea in case a part needs a tiny bit of extra filing or filling as some of the fits are quite tight. Where the parts on the sprue are quite thin (chains, weapon shafts, cables and the like) then it might be better to remove parts with a sharp scalpel rather than cutters.

Guild Hounds

Guild Hound 1 - Assembled
This is the most complicated of the four (relatively speaking) consisting of six parts of which three are separate legs and one is the hounds lower jaw. Attachment points are adequate enough so you should have little trouble with this particular model.

Guild Hound 2 - Assembled
This model also has a separate jaw but this is the only small part on the model and is easy enough to attach. The only other separate piece slots underneath the model into the belly area and effectively holds the two body halves together.

Guild Hound 3 - Assembled
Two body halves to stick together should give no problems and the one foot that attaches to the base is on a piece of 'rock' so you have a decent point to glue to when attaching the model to the base.

Guild Hound 4 - Assembled
Another simple model consisting of two body halves and a joining piece in the belly section.

Guild Hounds - Comparison Picture
Here's a comparison picture between the original metal versions and the new M2E plastic ones.

Thoughts and comments are (as usual) most welcome.

    1. They're on 30mm bases in the pictures so should scale with Frostgrave just fine I would imagine.
