Unboxing Malifaux - M2E Mobile Toolkit

'For when a Swiss army knife is too mainstream...'

The Mobile Toolkit box contains enough parts for one miniature...namely the Mobile Toolkit. It also contains a stat card for him though there are no upgrade cards.

Mobile Toolkit - Sprue
The box has one sprue in it as well as the aforementioned cards. Here's pictures of both sides of it...

Mobile Toolkit - Stat Card
Wyrd Games didn't like my publishing pictures of both sides of the stat cards so you'll have to make do with this...

Should there be any assembly issues with the model then they will be listed in the appropriate section and you can view larger versions of the smaller pictures or instruction pictures by clicking on them.

Mobile Toolkit - Instructions

Some General Notes on Assembly.
Many of these models contain quite small parts so depending on how dexterous you are you might consider getting yourself some tweezers. Dry-fitting is also always a good idea in case a part needs a tiny bit of extra filing or filling as some of the fits are quite tight. Where the parts on the sprue are quite thin (chains, weapon shafts, cables and the like) then it might be better to remove parts with a sharp scalpel rather than cutters.

Mobile Toolkit - Assembled
The body is in two halves and everything else attaches to that. Of the three 'arms' on the back, fit the centre one first or the other two get in the way. Obviously the 'arms' have lots of tiny fingers, delicate spikes and the like so take care when removing from sprue and when attaching to the model. It's also a good idea to put the vent underneath on first so the legs don't get in the way when your attaching it as the legs have some thin cabling on them.

Here's some close-ups...

Mobile Toolkit - Comparison Picture
Here's a couple of comparison pictures between the original metal version and the new M2E plastic one.

Thoughts and comments are (as usual) most welcome.
