The Tales of Mythic Adventure podcast is back! And for your binge-listening pleasure, we have SIX new episodes up with one more to follow shortly... EPISODE 18MOB talks to Joe Pulver, editor of the Chaosium anthology Cassilda’s Song: Tales Inspired by Robert W. Chambers King in Yellow Mythos, in contention for two World Fantasy Awards later this month (“Best Anthology” and “Best Short Story”). EPISODE 19MOB chats with Selena Chambers, author of the 2016 World Fantasy Award nominated short story ‘The Neurastheniac’, found in the Chaosium anthology Cassilda’s Song. EPISODE 20MOB talks with illustrator Steve Santiago, creator of the extraordinarily striking cover image for the Chaosium anthology Cassilda’s Song. A life long fan of horror, science fiction and fantasy, Steve uses mixed media and photo manipulation in his art to incredible effect. EPISODE 21MOB chats with Jeff about current developments in the new edition of RuneQuest! EPISODE 22MOB talks Call of Cthulhu with Mike Mason, Chaosium’s line editor for what GeekandSundry.com describes as “ unequivocally the greatest role-playing game ever written” EPISODE 23With 18 months or so under his belt since coming on board at Chaosium, President Rick Meints sits down with MOB to discuss all the cool stuff currently underway… And coming shortly, Ian Cooper, author of the about-to-released HeroQuest Gloranthasupplement The Coming Storm, is MOB's guest for episode 24... (BTW, TOMA's had to have a bit of a change of format: Jeff's postponing his co-hosting duties for the time being, due to too much other cool Chaosium stuff going on he's taking care of. But the episode where MOB speak with him is the longest!)

What is Ab Chaos? (...from Ab Chaos #7, May 31 1992)
Ab - Latin "from" Chaos - (1) Any condition or place of total disorder (modern vernacular); (2) the disordered state of unformed matter which preceded creation (since Milton, Paradise Lost); (3) the dark, empty space which preceded creation (Greek Mythology); (4) the [formerly] Californian roleplaying game company.
Ab Chaos is an informal newsletter for Chaosium fans. Through our history we have tried to serve the players and gamemasters through craft and art as well as (and sometimes at the expense of) marketing and moneymaking. We appreciate your loyalty, and offer this communication to those who are curious about us, beyond the mere "product".
It is planned to be informal and irregular. We are, after all, not the Orderium. |
