Unboxing Malifaux - Jorogumo

"Spiders?...not quite..."

The Jorogumo box contains enough parts for three miniatures...namely the Jorogumo. It also contains stat cards for them though there are no upgrade cards.

Jorogumo - Sprue
The box has one large sprue in it split into two pieces (so it actually fits in the box one presumes) as well as the aforementioned cards. Here's pictures of both sides of them...

Jorogumo - Stat Cards
Wyrd Games didn't like my publishing pictures of both sides of the stat cards so you'll have to make do with this...

Should there be any assembly issues with the model then they will be listed in the appropriate section and you can view larger versions of the smaller pictures or instruction pictures by clicking on them.

Jorogumo - Instructions

Some General Notes on Assembly.
Many of these models contain quite small parts so depending on how dexterous you are you might consider getting yourself some tweezers. Dry-fitting is also always a good idea in case a part needs a tiny bit of extra filing or filling as some of the fits are quite tight. Where the parts on the sprue are quite thin (chains, weapon shafts, cables and the like) then it might be better to remove parts with a sharp scalpel rather than cutters.

Jorogumo
As the issues with these models are pretty much the same across the board I thought I'd do one assembly guide rather than three somewhat redundant ones...
Each of the legs on each model has a specific location so assembly is a fairly trouble free process as long as you follow the instructions and are systematic. I would strongly advise against removing the parts from the sprues all at once in order to ensure this goes as smoothly as possible and to minimise the amount of parts you need to go through before finding the correct one. Fortunately the large body pieces to which they attach are fairly substantial. To help to avoid any confusion the sprue itself has letters on to distinguish which part goes with which model.

Two of the Jorogumo have very tiny mandible pieces that attach to the sides of their heads and these are the only small parts that you may have trouble with though all three of the models staff weapons have quite thin hafts that you'll also want to take care with. It's also worth noting that though the models themselves overlap the 50mm bases by a fair distance their legs do in fact fit onto the base just fine.

Jorogumo - Rotational View
As there's no original metal or alternate version with which to compare these to here's some rotational views.

Thoughts and comments are (as usual) most welcome.
