Unboxing Malifaux - Wind Gamin

"It's just the wind..."

The Wind Gamin box contains enough parts for three miniatures...namely the Wind Gamin. It also contains stat cards for them though there are no upgrade cards.

Wind Gamin - Sprue
The box has one sprue in it as well as the aforementioned cards. Here's pictures of both sides of it...

Wind Gamin - Stat Cards
Wyrd Games didn't like my publishing pictures of both sides of the stat cards so you'll have to make do with this...

Should there be any assembly issues with the model then they will be listed in the appropriate section and you can view larger versions of the smaller pictures or instruction pictures by clicking on them.

Wind Gamin - Instructions

Some General Notes on Assembly.
Many of these models contain quite small parts so depending on how dexterous you are you might consider getting yourself some tweezers. Dry-fitting is also always a good idea in case a part needs a tiny bit of extra filing or filling as some of the fits are quite tight. Where the parts on the sprue are quite thin (chains, weapon shafts, cables and the like) then it might be better to remove parts with a sharp scalpel rather than cutters.

Wind Gamin
As several of the issues with these models are the same across the board I'll cover the generic problems all at once before looking at any individual areas of interest.

The claws on the feet, the fingers on the hands and the horns are all thin. In fact all the parts are fairly delicate so you'll want to take care both when removing the parts from the sprue and when assembling the model.

Wind Gamin A - Assembled
This is probably the easiest to assemble of the three as it only has the generic issues listed above.

Wind Gamin B - Assembled
This one has tiny feather pieces on the backs of the arms and the end of the tail that are separate. The head is in two parts. You'll also want to dry fit the arm tufts/feathers as I found them somewhat tricky to align.

Wind Gamin C - Assembled
The legs form a gap at the models rear for the tail to slot into. The attachment points for the limbs are also quite small and don't really have any points were they 'lock' together so be sure they're in the correct location before gluing them on.

Wind Gamin - Rotational Views
As there's no original metal model or alternate version with which to compare this model here's some rotational views instead.

Thoughts and comments are (as usual) most welcome.
