Unboxing Malifaux - Corrupted Hounds

"Good doggy..."

The Corrupted Hounds box contains enough parts for four miniatures...namely the Corrupted Hounds. It also contains stat cards for them though there are no upgrade cards.

Corrupted Hounds - Sprue
The box has one sprue in it split into two pieces (so it actually fits in the box one presumes) as well as the aforementioned cards. Here's pictures of both sides of it and some close-ups of the sub-sections.

Corrupted Hounds - Stat Cards
Wyrd Games didn't like my publishing pictures of both sides of the stat cards so you'll have to make do with this...

Should there be any assembly issues with the model then they will be listed in the appropriate section and you can view larger versions of the smaller pictures or instruction pictures by clicking on them.

Corrupted Hounds - Instructions

Some General Notes on Assembly.
Many of these models contain quite small parts so depending on how dexterous you are you might consider getting yourself some tweezers. Dry-fitting is also always a good idea in case a part needs a tiny bit of extra filing or filling as some of the fits are quite tight. Where the parts on the sprue are quite thin (chains, weapon shafts, cables and the like) then it might be better to remove parts with a sharp scalpel rather than cutters.

Corrupted Hounds
The hounds range from five to seven parts each and are fairly simple to assemble. The only weak points are the tails which you'll need to be careful not to break and the fact that one of the hounds is balanced on one foot...

Corrupted Hound A - Assembled
The three part head, joined down the centre is not ideal but better than other Wyrd models that have been done the same way as the join is less noticeable due to the overall shape.

Corrupted Hound B - Assembled
The 'Jaw' piece was a bit tight so I had to trim the locating piece so both parts aligned.

Corrupted Hound C- Assembled
It's easier to assemble if you put the front legs on first rather than the rear ones.

Corrupted Hound D - Assembled
This one is a tad awkward. If you assemble both side pieces and then attempt to insert the front piece (after putting both halves together) it's a bit of a tight fit...however if you assemble both sides as complete units and then glue both halves together it's difficult to make them fit flush. The first method seems to be the one indicated by the instructions and is the best method of the two.

Corrupted Hounds - Rotational Views
Here's some rotational views of the assembled corrupted hounds.

Thoughts and comments are (as usual) most welcome.
