Unboxing Malifaux - Mysterious Emissary

"Don't be silly...plants don't move about..."

The Mysterious Emissary box contains enough parts for one miniature...namely the Mysterious Emissary. It also contains a stat card for it and quite a few upgrade cards.

Mysterious Emissary - Sprue
The box has one sprue in it as well as the aforementioned cards. Here's pictures of both sides of it...

Mysterious Emissary - Stat and Upgrade Cards
Wyrd Games didn't like my publishing pictures of both sides of the stat cards so you'll have to make do with this...

Should there be any assembly issues with the model then they will be listed in the appropriate section and you can view larger versions of the smaller pictures or instruction pictures by clicking on them.

Mysterious Emissary - Instructions

Some General Notes on Assembly.
Many of these models contain quite small parts so depending on how dexterous you are you might consider getting yourself some tweezers. Dry-fitting is also always a good idea in case a part needs a tiny bit of extra filing or filling as some of the fits are quite tight. Where the parts on the sprue are quite thin (chains, weapon shafts, cables and the like) then it might be better to remove parts with a sharp scalpel rather than cutters.

Mysterious Emissary - Assembled
This one isn't quite as terrifying to assemble as the amount of parts on the sprue might lead you to believe. Assemble each sub-section as indicated in the instructions taking care not to break the several small tendrils on certain parts or the many spiky bits. The triangular piece with two tendrils goes in the gap on the shoulder rather than attached to the arm as the instructions seem to indicate.

If you look on the close-up pictures of the base further down this feature then you'll see that one of the plant pieces wraps around the base of a taller one and aligns with a small indentation in that upright pieces stem. This plant piece on the base is a massive pain to put in place if you put it on last...which I unfortunately did...as it curls around the tendril from which the forest nymph is emerging and you'll need to bend it to make it fit. As usual I recommend dry-fitting each part before adding glue to anything.

Mysterious Emissary - Rotational View
Here's a rotational view of the Mysterious Emissary and a couple of comparison pictures of the Emissaries together.

Thoughts and comments are (as usual) most welcome.
