Unboxing Malifaux - Shastar Vidiya Guards

"If you're going to kill...you might as well do it in style..."

The Shastar Vidiya Guards box contains enough parts for three miniatures...namely the Shastar Vidiya Guards It also contains stat cards for them though there are no upgrade cards.

Shastar Vidiya Guards - Sprue
The box has one sprue in it as well as the aforementioned cards. Here's pictures of both sides of it...

Shastar Vidiya Guards - Stat Cards
Wyrd Games didn't like my publishing pictures of both sides of the stat cards so you'll have to make do with this...

Should there be any assembly issues with the model then they will be listed in the appropriate section and you can view larger versions of the smaller pictures or instruction pictures by clicking on them.

Shastar Vidiya Guards - Instructions

Some General Notes on Assembly.
Many of these models contain quite small parts so depending on how dexterous you are you might consider getting yourself some tweezers. Dry-fitting is also always a good idea in case a part needs a tiny bit of extra filing or filling as some of the fits are quite tight. Where the parts on the sprue are quite thin (chains, weapon shafts, cables and the like) then it might be better to remove parts with a sharp scalpel rather than cutters.

Shastar Vidiya Guards

Shastar Vidiya Guard 1 - Assembled
These are all fairly simple assembly jobs. I would however add the dagger to the waist before adding the arms. Also the swords have rather thin blades and the head is inexplicably in two halves.

Shastar Vidiya Guard 2 - Assembled
The belt sash is quite small and thin and one part of it looks very similar to sprue but according to the instructions it's part of the belt...it looks right when attached to the model but is quite easy to mistake for sprue at first glance. The shield has a couple of delicate spikes and the sword blade is typically thin but other than that the model goes together quite easily.

Shastar Vidiya Guard 3 - Assembled
The sash is thin...as are the daggers...and it's standing on one foot...but other than those Wyrd miniature standard minor issues this model is another easy job to put together.

Shastar Vidiya Guards - Rotational Views
Here's some rotational views...one of them turned out fairly terrible but the other two are okay...I've put the terrible one at the end...

Thoughts and comments are (as usual) most welcome.
