Kabuki Studios recently launched a Kickstarter to create a miniature of the classic 'Death Dealer' piece of Frazetta artwork and I couldn't really pass it up. The Kickstarter itself was looking at producing the model in a number of scales but considering the games I play I went with the 1/50 scale (35mm) rather than the 1/24 scale version (75mm).

The level I pledged at came with a free model in addition to the Death Dealer which I'll show you in more detail later in this feature.

The models came in bags within a blister style package adequately protected by some foam padding.
Death Dealer - Unassembled
Here's pictures of both sides of the unassembled parts. This model comes with a decorative base that you'd then need to place on an appropriate gaming base yourself if you wish to use it in an existing game system. Mine will be finding it's way onto a circular base very soon...
Death Dealer - Assembled
The model consists of two large pieces to which several smaller ones are added. The two main horse sections fit together very well and required no trimming to get a snug fit. The smaller parts have more than adequate location points though as with all resin models you may need to remove some flash from a few of the insertion points. The sword that goes across the riders back does have a quite delicate 'chain' piece that you'll need to take some care with as it's rather thin.

The model mainly consists of a single piece body to which her axe, hair and helmet horns are attached. Though these parts are fairly thin the attachment points are adequate enough. The only minor issue is the attachment point to the base being the bottom of one foot which isn't a large surface area so be patient when waiting for glue to adhere.
The base pictured is a secret weapon miniatures one from my hobby room and didn't come with the model.
