Unboxing Malifaux - Swine-Cursed

"What's happening to... OINK?!"

The Swine-Cursed box contains enough parts for two miniatures...namely the Swine-Cursed. It also contains stat cards for them though there are no upgrade cards.

Swine-Cursed - Sprue
The box has one sprue in it as well as the aforementioned cards. Here's pictures of both sides of it...

Swine-Cursed - Stat Card
Wyrd Games didn't like my publishing pictures of both sides of the stat cards so you'll have to make do with this...

Should there be any assembly issues with the model then they will be listed in the appropriate section and you can view larger versions of the smaller pictures or instruction pictures by clicking on them.

Swine-Cursed - Instructions
There are currently no instructions for these models so you'll have to make do with my assembly guide and assembled pictures...

Some General Notes on Assembly.
Many of these models contain quite small parts so depending on how dexterous you are you might consider getting yourself some tweezers. Dry-fitting is also always a good idea in case a part needs a tiny bit of extra filing or filling as some of the fits are quite tight. Where the parts on the sprue are quite thin (chains, weapon shafts, cables and the like) then it might be better to remove parts with a sharp scalpel rather than cutters.

Swine-Cursed

Swine-Cursed A - Assembled
This model has a four part head which is split centrally down face so you need to ensure the surfaces are properly cleaned to minimise any gaps. The tail is also rather spindly.

Swine-Cursed B - Assembled
As with the first of the Swine-Cursed the tail is thin and there's not much surface area to adhere to due to a recess underneath. The head is in three parts and is again split centrally down the face so ensure surfaces are properly cleaned to minimise gaps. Also the head halves have some very tiny 'spikes' of hair that you can easily damage if you press on them. I assembled the head before attaching to body...and ended up with a tiny gap at the neck...but then again I ignored my own 'always dry-fit' rule so it may well be my fault not the models. Some basic filling will sort it out regardless.

Swine-Cursed - Rotational Views
Here's a couple of rotational views of the Swine-Cursed...

Thoughts and comments are (as usual) most welcome.
Should you ever choose to purchase something based on one of my features or reviews then it would be nice if you could let the company know where the inspiration came from...who knows...they might be grateful to the poor unappreciated blogger who sent you their way...if however I've put you off a product...well...you can keep that info to yourself...

  1. Thanx for the pics.
I am thinking of using these for Hordes: Farrow Battle Boars or Gorax Ravagers.
