Unboxing Malifaux - Yasunori

"Two Katanas are better than one...wings are also handy..."

The Yasunori box contains enough parts for one miniature...namely the Yasunori. It also contains a stat card for him though there are no upgrade cards.

Yasunori - Sprue
The box has one sprue in it as well as the aforementioned card. Here's pictures of both sides of it...

Yasunori - Stat Card
Wyrd Games didn't like my publishing pictures of both sides of the stat cards so you'll have to make do with this...

Should there be any assembly issues with the model then they will be listed in the appropriate section and you can view larger versions of the smaller pictures or instruction pictures by clicking on them.

Yasunori - Instructions

Some General Notes on Assembly
Many of these models contain quite small parts so depending on how dexterous you are you might consider getting yourself some tweezers. Dry-fitting is also always a good idea in case a part needs a tiny bit of extra filing or filling as some of the fits are quite tight. Where the parts on the sprue are quite thin (chains, weapon shafts, cables and the like) then it might be better to remove parts with a sharp scalpel rather than cutters.

Yasunori - Assembled
The instructions seem to indicate you can assemble the rider completely separately from the mount and then slot them together...good luck with attempting that, lol...You need to attach the legs to the mount separately so you have something to attach the riders body to as otherwise there's no way of telling if they're in the right place. You can also put the body on the mount and then slot the legs in underneath...just don't attach the legs to the riders body and then expect them to slot onto the mount...because they wont...

The armoured pieces on the riders sides are very similar but you'll find that unless you have them on the correct sides they will not fit flush. You'll also want to put the wings on last as they tightly wrap around the riders legs. You'll of course want to be careful when handling any part that has flames, the mounts mouth section and the riders swords as all of these are relatively thin or have delicate sections.

Editors Note - It's been pointed out by several people on the forums (ArcticPangolin and twibs in particular) that even if you mistakenly attach the wings first you can still get the legs in place by 'rolling' them into the gap...kinda like one of those Chinese puzzles...of course if you've already glued them to the rider then you're out of luck...

Yasunori - Rotational View
Here's a rotational view of Yasunori...

Thoughts and comments are (as usual) most welcome.
Should you ever choose to purchase something based on one of my features or reviews then it would be nice if you could let the company know where the inspiration came from...who knows...they might be grateful to the poor unappreciated blogger who sent you their way...if however I've put you off a product...well...you can keep that info to yourself...
