Unboxing Malifaux - Amelia Bathory (Alternate Nicodem)

"Can't go wrong with a little black dress..."
The Amelia Bathory box/bag contains enough parts for one miniature...namely Amelia Bathory. It also contains a stat card for her though there are no upgrade cards. As this was from one of Wyrd's periodic 'sale' events it came in a bag rather than a box...which makes this an 'unbagging' I suppose...
Should you for some reason be looking for the original version of Amelia Bathory in her original incarnation as Nicodem then his unboxing and review as part of his own crew can be found HERE while the original metal alternate version of the original male figure can be located HERE.

Amelia Bathory - Sprue
The box has one sprue in it as well as the aforementioned cards. Here's pictures of both sides of it...

Amelia Bathory - Stat Card
Wyrd Games didn't like my publishing pictures of both sides of the stat cards so you'll have to make do with this...

...speaking of cards...for those of you thinking she looks familiar...

Should there be any assembly issues with the model then they will be listed in the appropriate section and you can view larger versions of the smaller pictures or instruction pictures by clicking on them.

Amelia Bathory - Instructions

Some General Notes on Assembly
Many of these models contain quite small parts so depending on how dexterous you are you might consider getting yourself some tweezers. Dry-fitting is also always a good idea in case a part needs a tiny bit of extra filing or filling as some of the fits are quite tight. Where the parts on the sprue are quite thin (chains, weapon shafts, cables and the like) then it might be better to remove parts with a sharp scalpel rather than cutters.

Amelia Bathory - Assembled
The separate leg will slot into the gap after the lower skirt piece is attached but it's probably easier to glue it into other piece first but that's not how I did it. The tiny crow on the gravestone has separate feet...as does the 'zombie' but the crows ones are both small and have easy to break, delicate claws on them...
As the tombstone is a separate piece you can put it anywhere on the base that suits you which is why mine is different from the artwork. Basically I didn't want the stone obscuring the model itself...
There's a tiny finger on the right hand on the cleavage area that's very easy to break off when pushing the chest/cleavage/boobs bit into place so take care.
The crow feet were placed wherever the hell they'd go...There are limits to even my patience...
Attach the zombie left foot first as it's easier due to the angle of the connection point if you do it second then the right foot gets in the way somewhat.

Amelia Bathory - Rotational View
Not one of my better ones...the arm moved slightly half-way through and the angle has made some of the individual frames a bit blurry...it is what it is...

Thoughts and comments are (as usual) most welcome
Should you ever choose to purchase something based on one of my features or reviews then it would be nice if you could let the company know where the inspiration came from...who knows...they might be grateful to the poor unappreciated blogger who sent you their way...if however I've put you off a product...well...you can keep that info to yourself...
