Unboxing Malifaux - Alternate Bayou Gator

"You're sure that's a log?!?!?..."
Alternate Bayou Gator box contains enough parts for one miniature...namely the Alternate Bayou Gator. It also contains a stat card for it though there are no upgrade cards...
This model is available to purchase via Wyrd Games various sale events...it also came in a bag rather than a box...making this an unbagging I suppose...I acquired mine via one of the aforementioned sales...

Alternate Bayou Gator - Sprue
The box has one sprue in it as well as the aforementioned card. Here's pictures of both sides of it.

Alternate Bayou Gator - Stat Cards
Stat cards in the official format can now be downloaded from Wargame Vault for a nominal fee from HERE.

Should there be any assembly issues with the model then they will be listed in the appropriate section and you can view larger versions of the smaller pictures or instruction pictures by clicking on them.

Alternate Bayou Gator - Instructions
Couldn't find any official assembly instructions so you'll have to make do with my pictures I'm afraid...

Some General Notes on Assembly
Many of these models contain quite small parts so depending on how dexterous you are you might consider getting yourself some tweezers. Dry-fitting is also always a good idea in case a part needs a tiny bit of extra filing or filling as some of the fits are quite tight. Where the parts on the sprue are quite thin (chains, weapon shafts, cables and the like) then it might be better to remove parts with a sharp scalpel rather than cutters.

Alternate Bayou Gator - Assembled
The crocodile body is two large parts though it does have separate rear feet.
You get two head options (eating a gremlin or not) and one of the top halves of the jaw has a recess in one side that part of the gremlin slots into and the bottom has a raised piece that slots into the gremlins lower body piece. The two head pieces that aren't munching a gremlin have no locator piece or recess so are easy enough to identify.
Aligning the other head around the gremlin can be problematic as the raised piece and recess don't align brilliantly but the gremlin slots into the gap regardless and covers up the raised locator so it doesn't really matter if you just kinda balance it there.

Alternate Bayou Gator - Comparison Picture
Here's a comparison picture with the three from the standard box set an unboxing of which can be found HERE.

Here's a rotational view...

Thoughts and comments are (as usual) most welcome.
I purchase my miniatures from Leodis Games (Link Below) and can highly recommend them.
Should you ever choose to purchase something based on one of my features or reviews then it would be nice if you could let the company know where the inspiration came from...who knows...they might be grateful to the poor unappreciated blogger who sent you their way...if however I've put you off a product...well...you can keep that info to yourself...
