Unboxing Malifaux - Riotbreaker

"You have twenty seconds to comply..."

The Riotbreaker box contains enough parts for one miniature...namely the Riotbreaker. It also contains a stat card for it though there are no upgrade cards.

Riotbreaker

While most Guild constructs are regarded with a sense of ambivalence or fear by Mailifaux's citizens, the Riotbreaker is the only one that is actually hated. The constructs are only brought out to help pacify large crowds, which in Malifaux usually means Union strikes. 

The Union has taken advantage of this by plastering graphic pictures of Riotbreakers shooting unarmed men and women at point-blank range across the front pages of their most prominent rag sheets. This gruesome propaganda has led to the constructs being associated with the Guild's worst acts of tyranny and oppression. 

Charles Hoffman believes that the sullied reputation of these constructs might be repaired. He has started rotating them into other units and detachments in the hope that the people of the city will see the Riotbreakers in a different light.

Some General Notes on Assembly

Many of these models contain quite small parts so depending on how dexterous you are you might consider getting yourself some tweezers. Dry-fitting is also always a good idea in case a part needs a tiny bit of extra filing or filling as some of the fits are quite tight. Where the parts on the sprue are quite thin (chains, weapon shafts, cables and the like) then it might be better to remove parts with a sharp scalpel rather than cutters.

Additionally...my own assembly notes are written as I go along so I'd suggest reading them all the way through before starting the assembly process.

Riotbreaker - Assembled

There's a thin cable on one body half that's fairly delicate. It's advisable to add the small shield piece to the waist before attaching the waist to the main body section as there's not much room afterwards. It's also important to dry-fit and test the angles of the legs and feet to make sure the model stays level on the base as there's significant potential movement there.
