NEW MOUNTAIN VILLAGE BUILDINGS, OPERATION BITING SCENERY & FIRST BLOG POST

With Salute 2019 done and dusted this week sees us releasing new Japanese buildings, another great deal and we release our first 'How to...' guide.

A huge thank you to everyone who visited our stand at Salute this year We talked to many people, old faces and new ones, all very positive about our range of kits. This is one of the best things about shows for us at Sarissa Precision. The feedback we receive and input from the community spurs us on, to keep challenging what we do with the ultimate goal being to make you the best kits we possibly can.

You may have seen pictures we have posted recently of our new Japanese mountain village. This week we have just the buildings on offer to give you far eastern gamers something different for your tables.  If you add some corrugated card to the roofs we think you can use them for Vietnam villages too!  We are very excited about this new range and will be using it for lots of different settings which we will be showing off on our Facebook page.

Last but by no means least we have our first article for our brand new blog titled a 'Quick & Simple Painting Guide'. In it, Gary takes us through how to prepaint your kits before assembly creating a prepainted kit, simples!  We have also made the guide into a FREE downloadable PDF so you can have a copy on your painting table.

All the best, TC

NEW: JAPANESE MOUNTAIN VILLAGE

Villages in feudal Japan were one of three types: agricultural, mountain, and fishing, and farmhouses such as this would have been prevalent in the agricultural villages. Each farmhouse would also have a small plot of land to farm known as a 'cho'

NEW: OPERATION BITING SCENERY SET - 15/20/28mm

Operation Biting, also known as the Bruneval Raid, was a British Combined Operations raid on a German coastal radar installation at Bruneval in northern France during the Second World War, on the night of 27–28 February 1942.

Major John Frost leading a company of airborne troops parachuted into France a few miles from the installation. The main force assaulted the villa in which the radar equipment was kept, defeating the German garrison and capturing the installation after a brief firefight.

The raid was entirely successful. The airborne troops suffered relatively few casualties, and the pieces of the radar they brought back, along with a captured German radar technician, allowed British scientists to understand enemy advances in radar and to create countermeasures to neutralise them.

We think this is a perfect mission that would make an exciting scenario to play out in your favourite scale(s).  Combining two existing kits from our ranges has allowed us to offer this new set at a very good deal price.
