Hellraiser Crew for Malifaux?

In yet another instalment of 'Malifaux projects I'd like to do but probably never will'.....

They're completely the wrong scale unfortunately...
Closer in scale...not quite as scary, though...
As with the Steampunk Sirens idea any helpful suggestions will be given serious consideration.

Thoughts and comments are (as usual) most welcome.

After a very long (like 16 years) sabbatical from tabletop gaming, I've been getting tempted to dip my toe back in the water recently by Malifaux, Infinity and Bushido, which all seem like they could be good fun. Thing is though, it's not something any of my mates are into and I don't know if there's much of a scene for any of those games here in Birmingham. Have come across your blog and see you're from here too. Mind me asking where you do your gaming? Would be good to link up with some people in the area for a couple of beers and some games
    Cheers mate
    Matt

    1. I use a game store in Lichfield called Titan Games. There Facebook page is below,

      https://www.facebook.com/titangamesltd?fref=ts

They have 6 or 7 gaming tables, a fair sized painting area and there are a lot of Malifaux players there as well as many who play other systems (Warmachine is quite popular but all systems are represented in some way). Their game night is Tuesday (open till 10:00) and you will find me there most Sundays. If you ask for me I'm Garreth in the real world ;-)

  2. Cool I've been meaning to head down to Titan for a while now. Got judo training Tuesday nights but I'll try to make a Sunday some time soon. Will look out for you. One last question, are there any Malifaux crews that are particularly over subscribed amongst the players there? Zoraida/Collodi, the Ortegas and the gremlins all look interesting but I don't want to play the same team as dozens of other people

  3. There's a massive variety of crews being played in store currently.

The only ones that there are a lot of are Pandora, Vicktorias and the new 'Ten Thunders' ones (Mei Feng, Misaki, etc.) are quite popular but that's always the case with new stuff, lol.

Any of the ones you mentioned are fine. The Ortegas are a bit 'point and click' and the Zoraida/Collodi combo won't exactly make you any friends...Just pick something you like...

  4. Nice one, good to know. Reckon I'll probably go gremlin then. They seem a lot of fun, plus I can start with an Ophilia crew who operate pretty basic then work up to Jones when I'm ready for a more complex master, which would be a nice route into the game.
Thanks for taking the time to help me out, much appreciated. I'm working this weekend and next but hopefully see you down Titan some time soon

    1. Gremlins are quite a lot of fun and can be pretty competitive once you get used to them ;-)
