Hasslefree Miniatures - Newsletters

As is usual at Christmas time Hasslefree Miniatures are offering a discount on purchases and a goody bag should that purchase break the £50 mark which is nice if you were planning on a purchase anyway or if you want to buy an entertaining blogger some kind of festive present...

I'm also seriously considering the purchase of that Junior Alyx model. With a bit of a tweak on the gun (or it's removal and replacement) I can see many Malifaux related uses for it...

We're Back!
Ok, ok, we've been back a week but this is the first newsletter so it still counts.
As most of you will be aware we've had a bit o a crazy time since we got back from the States. Jenn and I landed with the flu after a 37 hour journey involving 4 planes, a sprint across an airport after one of those planes was delayed due to snow, 2 coaches and a bus to get home. It was extremely unpleasant and we felt like we'd been in a car wreck for a few days. So we were 'very' behind by the time we started back to work.
We've busted our collective arses this past week to get through everything and are finally close to being normal again. Thanks to you guys we had a lot to get through and we have sent out a 'lot' of freebies for all of you who ordered while we were away. Generosity rewarded :)
We do have some new stuff for you and the details of December Bonus Time. We also have details of our Christmas opening hours and the last posting dates and probably some other stuff I'm forgetting, so let's get on with it!
December Bonus Time
Most of what you need to know is in the handy graphic above :)
The code for this December Bonus is the incredibly original 'XMAS2013' no spaces. This will give you a 10% discount on anything on the site and is applicable to any order level.
However, if your order is over £50 and you fancy some Christmas randomness instead then...
Goodie Bags!
... you can forego the discount code and instead write 'Goodie Bag Please' in the comments section. We'll then add one of our random bags of goodness to your order.
(Don't worry if you forget, we'll try to keep an eye on it for you as well :) ).
The above is just an example, in fact I believe it's last years goodie bag, this years will have different items in it as always. They also take time to put together so please bear that in mind if you order int he next day or two as we're working on physically making them following a gruelling week (In fact I believe the Hasslekids will be roped in :) )
And though it's called 'December' Bonus Time, the code is active from right now and goes through until the 3rd January. If you only ordered an hour ago or something then again, don't worry, we'll take care of you ;)
Last Posting Dates and Christmas Opening Hours
As you can see above, the first of the important last posting dates is coming up next week for anyone in the Far East or Australasia.
Bear in mind these are 'recommended' posting dates not guaranteed so if you want your items to arrive before the big day the earlier the better.
As for Hasslefree, our Christmas Break starts on the 21st December (Not coincidentally the day after last post) and we'll be back on the 3rd January (again not coincidentally the day post starts properly again) so no post between those two dates. We'll be open for business and active online etc. so the only thing affected will be post. The above code/goodie bag promotion runs right through until we get back to make up for any inconvenience :)
Right, I suppose I should get around to trying to sell ya all something!
Syr Olwyn Castlemere
Syr Olwyn is the father of Gwendolyne and the family resemblance, especially in choice of armaments is quite striking.
Fully bedecked in the armour of the Castlemeres and carrying a, frankly, huge sword.
(We've included some extra angles and lighting as it's been said it's difficult to see what's going on with his face/hand/beard area, in point of fact he has his eyes closed and is kissing a paladin symbol, it just doesn't photograph well)
The metal version is in transit to us but as we don't want to send out two newsletters so close together we're offering it a couple of days early. Hence the photograph of the resin, we'll put up photos of the metal on our Facebook page as soon as they arrive!
Princess Luna of the Violet Wood
A daring and beautiful young elf from the ruling house of the Violet Wood. It is said her family hails from the colder climates of the Northern Woods and migrated south when a King of the clan joined one of the great Elven hosts for a battle.
Armed with a peculiar, and possibly magical, sword and wrapped in a cloak over her leathers.
(The sculpt is based somewhat on my wife Jenn, who is pretty directly responsible for what candy you get in your orders so be very careful what you say about it ;) )

Alyx, Incredibly Versatile Juvenile Survivor
While quite a few of our minis have a variant or optional arm etc, Alyx has long stood out as the mini with the most options. She comes as normal with 1 body, 3 left arms and 3 right arms, any of which work with the other. This means that anyone who bought one a) has to make some tough decisions and b) will have 4 juvenile arms left over.
As she needed remoulding recently we took the opportunity to add a couple of spare bodies into the mould to pass on to you. She can now be bought as just a body, for those of you who have previously bought an Alyx and still have the spare arms, or as a multipack that sells for considerably less than buying multiple individual ones.

The Return of Paige
Our most impressive Christmas Figure returns for the Holiday Period.
Paige is 54mm scale and stands approximately 66mm high from the heel of her boot to the top of her outstretched arm.
She comes packed as a gift in a beautiful red box complete with bow so for anyone considering it as a Christmas Present you don't need to worry about working out how to wrap it :)
Limited Christmas Minis
You can also find the rest of our Christmas Limited figs re-actived for the season.
These can all only be purchased during the Holidays and will be de-activated again when we return on Jan 3rd.
The Z-Squad ... 2!
second group of Zombocalypse survivors joins the first. This group contains another corss section of society thrown together by the outbreak of rampant ... Zombieism?
Waynes, Friend of the Mack
Joining Mack in the fight against things in the frozen North is the equally warmly dressed and equally armed Waynes.
Perfect for any colder climate themed games!
And FInally...
Uhm, there isn't much, we've been so rushed off our feet this past week that I haven't had a hance to think about anything other than 'Aaaargh so. many. orders.'
We do have some new additions to the Modern Trooper range arriving this week but they really need to be photographed before they're added to avoid confusion.
We'll also, finally, be starting to add more retail options to the website throughout December. The only new releases during the month will beResin Masters so it's the perfect time to expand our retail side. It also means you lucky lot can try us out as a retailer during a time when there's a discount code active!
The etched brass we mentioned before is stuck a little bit in manufacturing, we're working on it though. Similar story with the Walker variant. At least one should be released this month.
Lots of new greens on show over at our Facebook page, including new male and female Barbarians of the more savage variety, Kev continuing to work on our planned Sci-Fi boxset (The female Sci-Fi Trooper was a tester for the scout armour and Kev has recently modified one as a tester for the standard powered armour). As well as being released in metal we are hoping it will be Hasslefree's first foray into plastics but please don't hold your breath on that, there's a 'lot' to work out before we make the decision on that.
Ok, that's it, back to the grindstone!
'til next time,
Arty.
