The Hive Fleet has Arrived...

The guys at my FLGS Titan Games have got up early and assembled some of the new Tyranid kits...The codex itself is also a surprisingly well written and balanced one...maybe things are looking up...

...a couple of the kits have actually got cheaper as well...no you're not dreaming.....

Note - This ones picture heavy...though I guess you were expecting that, lol.

We Have pictures of Hive Guard, Warriors, Haruspex and the Harpy.

Hive Guard.

Tyranid Warriors.

Here's one that's had some minor conversion work on it...

Haruspex.

Some Haruspex Close-ups...

Harpy.

Here's the new Spore Mines.

...and here's an old Carnifex (one of mine actually...) converted into 'Old One-Eye' using some of the new parts just so you can see how flexible the kits are...

It looks like they have the makings of an impressive army...

Much of the partially under-coated models were originally a part of my own Tyranid army and have been adapted by Martin at Titan Games for the new codex. I kind of miss them now I've seen them altogether like this, lol.

Thoughts and comments are (as usual) most welcome.

  1. You are the only website I have found today saying anything nice about the new codex.
Can you please elaborate more on why you think it is a good and balanced codex?

    1. Points costs are more reasonable, unit synergy is better now and there's enough decent units to make the old 'mono-build' issue less likely.

A lot of people seem to want to complain when every new codex is broken and then complain equally when a balanced one comes out...there's just no pleasing some people, lol.

  2. There are some positive reviews out there. But I'm liking these photos. Today I'm tempted to go Nid, but not convinced yet.
