Hasslefree Miniatures Newsletter

I quite like that 'Enchantress' model...I sense an impulse buy on the cards...

Countdown to Salute
We're into our 1 month countdown to the big show now. Next week's newsletter will have all of our Salute details including a code for pre-ordering some of you will be very happy to hear.
We have our usual place so we won't be hard to find :)
This week we have some belated new releases, a few new resin masters including the amazing Lord Ulthrak and a quick announcement...
The Next Frothers' Charity Thingy
Every year Kev takes some of his time to give back to the miniature world and includes at least a couple of charity figures.
This is this year's Frother's charity ably run by Jon 'Dags' Atter and it's based around Tank Girl.
You can find all the details you need HERE.
Last I checked there were still some unallocated (The basics are you make a donation of x size to charity and you are allocated a figure from a limited run) so if you're a fan of such stuff I'd get over there quick before they're all gone.
Booga was sculpted by Steve 'Relic' Blunt and is also part of the charity thingy.
Lord Ulthrak, resin master
Lord Ulthrak, worshipper of the Dark Gods, leader of the Kran'duin horde. Armed with a mightly battleaxe, bedecked in rune-engraved armour and wearing a great cloak.
Lord Ulthrak is a big guy and comes in around the 35mm mark if stood straight.
Ulthrak comes in 5 pieces, body, left leg, weapon hand, head and base insert. Supplied with a 30mm lipped base.
Major Stephanie, resin master
Major Stephanie..., that's it. Nobody knows her last name, or if they do they aren't telling. Dressed in leather armour and wielding a tommy gun Major Stepahnie looks straight out of a 1940's adventure novel which would be fine if she wasn't a contemporary of Ekaterina in the modern world.
The Major is a little less curvy than the average Kev woman and is meant to represent a more athletic frame. She has turned out to be very difficult to photograph in resin though so keep your eye out in next week's newsletter for a painter profile including a version of Stephanie :)
Captain Isseki variant, resin master
A variant of our, old-school looking but new tech using, detective figureCaptain Isseki. Armed with a pistol and in a more neutral pose.
The original Isseki is meant to be running very fast and in a very forward leaning pose, apparently enough people stuck him to a base looking too far upwards to annoy Kev into making a standing version :)
Powered Armour Kieran, resin master
PA Kieran is Megalynn's Big Brother and another member of the spacefaring White family, joining Powered Armour Libby, Captain Kev, Megalynn and Smudgester. Kieran is decked out in advanced powered armour including an oversized ripper claw and pulse carbine.
This is a young teenager in powered armour so considerably shorter than our regular adult figures. It's a mm or two shorter than Grymn Powered Armour.
Dread Pirate K'lok, resin master
The self-titled 'Dread Pirate' K'lok, Captain of the not-very-good ship Scuttlebutt and boss of Quirion and Buckle, armed with a trusty flintlock and stood on his most recent booty.
Sculpted by Werner Klocke for the charity Goblinaid and now available proper :)
Lenore, The Enchantress of Evermore
Lenore, The Enchantress of Evermore, a mysterious sorceress from the fabled Nor'western city. Clad in a full length robe, full length dress and thigh high boots.
A Hogman of Hen'darr
A Hogman from the swamps of Hendar. These mutants are known for their ferocity in battle and a heavily believed rumour of what they do with their victims. Armed with a great cleaver and the remains of his last meal.
This Hogman is particularly large, approx 37mm tall even with the slightly bent stance and very chunky.
Bilebelly, Leader of the Knife Ridge clan
Bilebelly is the leader of a clan of Knife Ridge orcs. A very large specimen and particularly cunning, he rules the clan with a ruthless hand and tends to prefer bludgeoning weapons backed up by his huge strength.
Bilebelly is approximately 36mm tall and fairly chunky.
The Knife Ridge Orcs - Bolmog
Bolmog is a squad leader of the Knife Ridge Orcs, a personal favourite of Bilebelly. Armed with a vicious curved blade and shield and armoured in the Knife Ridge style of spined leather cuirass and chainmail skirt.
The Knife Ridge Orcs - Azluk
Azluk is a soldier of the Knife Ridge Orcs. Armed with a rough hewn spear and shield and armoured in the Knife Ridge style of spined leather cuirass and chainmail skirt.
The Knife Ridge Orcs - Lurthak
Lurthak is a soldier of the Knife Ridge Orcs. Armed with a morning star and shield and armoured in the Knife Ridge style of spined leather cuirass and chainmail skirt.
The Knife Ridge Orcs - Squad Pack
Bilebelly and crew at a healthy discount. Squad pack containing 1 Bilebelly and 3 each of Bolmog, Azluk and Lurthak.
The orc soldiers arms 'are' interchangeable but a couple of the combinations may need a bit of filing or a dab of green stuff to make them fit perfectly if you worry about that and you should be able to get a good mix of arms and poses out of this lot. We like to be honest about such things :)
And Finally
No extras this week, I'm having to work from home following a vehicle breakdown sorry so we're a bit hampered.
For those of you who might recognise the Paul Muller suclpts above then yes, you have seen them before. The orcs started life as Fictive Miniatures which was bought by Tim Jonkers and incorporated into Oddity Miniatures to which he added the Hogman and 2 more sculpts. Tim decided to change direction and we purchased Oddity in it's entirety including the unreleased sculpts that are currently with Kev to check over :) If you're interested in what Tim is doing know you can follow his new venture HERE. Looks pretty interesting :)
As mentioned above, next week will be all of our Salute details and you'll be able to start pre-ordering to pick up on the day. We do have a fair few new releases planned for the big day but as postage is free for pickup you can happily make numerous orders should something pop up closer to the date you also fancy!
Keep an eye on our Facebook page through the week, we have a lot to make up for as we were delayed by a caster mixup and further hampered by Jenn and I breaking down in Nottingham, just one of those weeks :D
Oh and it's my birthday today, I am the grand old age of 38 for those of you who want to either mock me for being old or lament my amazing youth.
'til next time,
Arty.
