Hasslefree Miniatures Newsletter - Salute Debrief

I'm happy to say that their service in person is easily as good as their service on-line...you even still get sweets...'Mrs H' even managed to sort out which extra 'Post Apoc Gang' Miniature I wanted from possibly the vaguest description ever, lol.

There's some new release news as well.....

Happy Easter!
Hope everyone enjoyed their long weekend (and for the Brits reading this that you aren't currently in some kind of egg-related diabetic coma).
We have returned from the big smoke and have almost recovered. We completely forgot this weekend was Easter, and that post offices close, so catching up with the orders placed from our London trip is taking a little longer than normal.  On the positive side, everyone who's order is delayed gets a freebie! :)
This is just a short newsletter, a bit of a Salute debrief, a couple of announcements etc. We're not entirely done with the 'putting everything back where it belongs' and as mentioned above we're ploughing through the catch up orders too, so not a great deal of time to wibble as much as I do usually. New releases next week. :)
Right, let's get on with it!
A Big Salute Thank You!
We'd like to thank everyone who visited us at Salute, even those of you who just wanted to say allo and didn't give us any of your hard-earned shekels ;)
It was a good, if exhausting, day and went well. The stand looked pretty after some last minute Macgyvering by the HF Gang, Kieran ran a participation game pretty much all day and many, many, miniatures were thrust into various receptacles in exchange for sweaty currency.
Talking of the 'HF Gang' we'd like to take a moment to thank all the helpers on the day, The HF Kids (Kieran, Jenny and Megan), Neil, Dave, Andy, Ian, Jason, Scott, Kylie, Tris, Matt and Garry. A special mention for Wyn who stuck it out on the AB stand most of the day.
Couldn't have done it without you lot, consider yourselves on our christmas card list :)
What's Happening Next?
Well for the next week and a bit, the Whites are still in the US. We'll spend the bulk of this week catching up entirely and finding everything that was put into a weird box while packing up at the show :)
Next week we have 4 new releases, sneak peek above. They were pre-released at Salute and went very well so we hope you'll like them. After that we have new multipacks, more new releases, the return of the Kev, some bribery, some new Modern Troopers and harem girls, some new Sci-Fi squad members and the disappearance of Kev into digital sculpting land for a while.
We'll also be working on some changes to the website to incorporate more menus without having to scroll down so far :)
We have also been on the verge of the K word for about 6 months now and have never actually made that final step so that will almost certainly have to happen soon. So, the real answer is 'lots'.
Diceni Trade Show, May 4th
The good people at Diceni are hosting the second annual show in Norfolk on the 4th May (Shame they aren't Star Wars related there).
No, we aren't going to be there, we're pimping it because the mascot of Diceni is Boudi, a miniature we have licensed from Diceni based on some original Matt Dixon artwork.
We've been talking with Lee of Diceni about some possible variants and even licensing future Matt Dixon artwrk commissioned for the show so feel free to turn up and let them know what an awesome job they've done in partnering with us ;)
Details of the show can be found here....
I believe they are also having a 'Painted Boudi' contest!
And Finally.
Talking of Boudi, we have something coming up next week that fans of Matt Dixon in particular might like. We'll be bundling some signed artwork cards with resin masters of Boudi in strictly limited numbers. Keep an eye on the next newsletter for that.
Feel free to use any of our HF email addresses (Admin@, Dameon@) to give us any Salute feedback if you happened to be there. We're always interested in people's opinions to help us hone our show attendances.
We had some pretty new banners at Salute with us featuring painted minis (you can see them over on our FB page). We're going to be making a solid effort to overhaul the photos of our minis to include painted versions too. We have a solid group of painter friends, all of an excellent calibre, and you can be sure to see more 'artist profile's in future newsletters too :)
That's it, I'm still tired *sniff*
'til next time,
Arty
