Unboxing - Triumvirate of the Primarch - Part Three

So we've looked at Grand Master Voldus, Warden of the Librarius...now lets have a look at Roboute Guilliman, Primarch of the Ultramarines...

"A strange fate binds Roboute Guilliman, Grand Master Voldus and the Fallen Angel Cypher together. They walk a path of providence; though whether it ends in damnation or deliverance, none can say. On the battlefield, this triumvirate of warriors is an unstoppable, inspiring force, bolstering the morale of those they lead while shattering enemy lines with their staggering strength. Cypher’s pistols roar as Voldus’ psychic powers lash out – all the while, Guilliman strides like a reborn god, bellowing rallying cries and striking down countless foes."

Roboute Guilliman
'Primarch of the Ultramarines'
Clad in the Armour of Fate, adorned with Ultramarines and Imperial iconography and featuring a splendid ceremonial halo, he wields the Hand of Dominion and the Emperor’s Sword (yes, the Emperor’s Sword). Supplied with a sculpted 60mm round base, featuring a broken Imperial Eagle.
Roboute Guilliman - Sprue
Here's pictures of both sides of the sprue for Roboute Guilliman...

Roboute Guilliman Assembled
As long as you follow the instructions the model is relatively simple to assemble though there are a few points that might create a bit of confusion without them. Fortunately Games Workshop instructions in models such as these are very detailed so as long as you're systematic I foresee no issues with putting this one together.

The Primarch comes with a choice of two heads. They slot in and out fairly easily so you could in theory paint both and switch between them should you so desire. I went with the helmeted version...

Here's some close-ups of the detail...

The base is also very detailed indeed...

Instructions and Stats
As some-one who assembles models from a lot of different companies ranges I have to say that instructions with clear diagrams, numbers that match with parts on the sprue and actual views of the rear of the models were particularly enjoyable...

Thoughts and comments are (as usual) most welcome.

Unboxing - Triumvirate of the Primarch - Part Two

So we looked at Cypher, Lord of the Fallen in Part One...now lets have a look at Grand Master Voldus, Warden of the Librarius...

Grand Master Voldus
'Warden of the Librarius'
Clad in ornate terminator armour, bearing marks of the Grey Knights, he is armed with the Malleus Argyrum – an ancient Daemon hammer that acts as a conduit for his psychic energies – and a storm bolter. Supplied with a Citadel 40mm Round base.
Grand Master Voldus - Sprue

Grand Master Voldus Assembled
Another model with a surprisingly lower parts count. The only minor issue I had was that there's not a lot of room to get the head into place as the decorate piece above gets in the way a little....but when that's all you can find to complain about you know you're dealing with a quality model.
