Painting Malifaux - Miss Ery

Teddy was the favourite to win the pumpkin carving contest...especially after all the other contestants mysteriously fell into several bloody pieces for no apparent reason.....

My partners work not mine...though that was probably fairly obvious...the paint scheme was inspired by the 'Tatty Teddy' range of cards, toys and the like...

Here's some close-ups of the pumpkin...the tree trunk and mushroom bits were carved from a bottle cork...

 ..and finally here'a a close-up of the base and one of the face...

Painting Malifaux - Slate Ridge Mauler

As regular readers of the blog will know my partner has confiscated my Rasputina crew and is painting it herself which is great for two reasons...firstly she's a much better painter than me and secondly it's probably the only way that it'll ever get done.....

As I'm not a big fan of Marcus's playstyle most of my 'Beasts' are going to be painted in a wintry style for use with Rasputina...though I suppose Marcus might borrow them occasionally...

Unboxing - Mars Attacks Miniatures Game - Part 2 - Kickstarter Bundles

For those of you interested in the contents of the core box then that 'unboxing' can be found here.

As mentioned in the previous post I pledged through a local game at the 'One Click' level. This seemed like a good way of getting a nice cross section of stuff without breaking the bank as finances were an issue at the time...

Editors Note - Both my usual camera and daylight lamp were unavailable so the pictures are somewhat variable in quality I'm afraid...

As well as the core game I got this pair of expansion booklets...

...and the following bundles...

Mars Attacks Kickstarter Freebie Bundle.

You can see the terrain in Part 1 but here's everything else...

Craig and Tunga, Martian Supreme Commander, Beloss Bel, Science Division Martian, Martian Standard Bearer and Zombie Martian...

There were also some clips for use with the cardboard tokens from the main game...they're not particularly exciting but they are somewhat useful.

Martian Mayhem Bundle.
This one contains Martian Marines, Stealth Martians and a certain gentlemen called 'Blaine' who is probably familiar to any fans of Mantic Games...he seems to appear in pretty much all of them...

Escalation Bundle.
Contains Novas Viras, Martian Science Division, Esteban and a rather nice flat-bed truck...

...the truck I mentioned...

I should also add that the model is exceptionally simple to assemble.

There was also a 'Core Expansion Bundle' that was basically one model (Don Manning?) and some trading cards...

I'm not really a trading card collector but they are nice...if that's your thing.

The 'One Click' pledge also included another three paper mats for larger scale games and a high quality mat but I figured you didn't need to see pics of those, lol.
