Unboxing Malifaux - Ice Dancers

'Slip, Sliding Away...'

The Ice Dancers box contains enough parts for two miniatures...namely the Ice Dancers. It also contains stat cards for them though there are no upgrade cards.

Ice Dancers - Sprue
The box has one sprue in it split into two pieces (so it actually fits in the box one presumes) as well as the aforementioned cards. Here's pictures of both sides of them and some close ups of the individual assemblies.

Ice Dancers - Stat Cards
Wyrd Games didn't like my publishing pictures of both sides of the stat cards so you'll have to make do with this...

Should there be any assembly issues with the model then they will be listed in the appropriate section and you can view larger versions of the smaller pictures or instruction pictures by clicking on them.

Ice Dancers - Instructions

Some General Notes on Assembly.
Many of these models contain quite small parts so depending on how dexterous you are you might consider getting yourself some tweezers. Dry-fitting is also always a good idea in case a part needs a tiny bit of extra filing or filling as some of the fits are quite tight. Where the parts on the sprue are quite thin (chains, weapon shafts, cables and the like) then it might be better to remove parts with a sharp scalpel rather than cutters.

Ice Dancers

Ice Dancer A - Assembled
The overall assembly of these models is fairly straightforward. The only issue is the number of tiny spikes, thin sashes and the like on the model at various points. Be careful when removing these parts from the sprue and when attaching them to the model as they are very delicate indeed. There's a slight indentation on the ice slide for her foot though you could place the model somewhere else on the piece and fill that in quite easily if you have an alternate pose in mind.

Ice Dancer B - Assembled
This model has the same basic issues as the other Ice Dancer when it comes to delicate spikes and sashes and the same care is needed when handling. I'd also recommend adding the cloak pieces to the models back before adding the hair piece to the head as otherwise you'll have trouble putting them in place. There's no real location points for her feet on he ice slide and you could put her somewhere other than the place indicated on the picture if you so desire.

Ice Dancers - Rotating View
Here's a couple of rotating views of the Ice Dancers.

Thoughts and comments are (as usual) most welcome.
