Unboxing Malifaux - M2E Molemen

A perfect example of the phrase 'never volunteer'...

'Small Box' Cover.

The Molemen box contains enough parts for three miniatures...namely the Molemen. It also contains stat cards for them though there are no upgrade cards.

Molemen - Sprue

Molemen - Stat Cards (M2E)

Here are the official assembly instructions should you have trouble locating them.

Molemen - Assembly
I had some minor issues with alignment with these models so they'll all be getting a bit of filler treatment before under-coating...

Molemen 1 - Assembled
Two part head and separate small feet were the only minor issues with this model.

Molemen 2 - Assembled
This one was issue free...other than the issue I mentioned at the beginning, lol.

Molemen 3 - Assembled
The tail piece can push the body halves apart if the gap isn't trimmed slightly (at least on mine) and each limb and 'hand' is separate with the head being in three parts. The middle portion of the head slots into the body and I inserted this first before attaching both haves of the head to it...this turned out to be a mistake as it made getting a good fit tricky (you can see the gap on the photo). I can only presume therefore that assembling the head completely before attaching it to the body would have been a better idea...

Here's a group picture.

Here's a few comparison pictures between the new plastic and original metal versions.

The Wednesday Gallery

I reinstalled the Vampire the Masquerade : Bloodlines game a day ago to give me something to do that didn't require me having to move around much after my recent accident...

Those of you familiar with the games most well known character may be expecting today's gallery to consist of large breasted women wearing school uniforms...and to be fair when the game was first released she was actually quite a popular cosplay choice of which I may have a picture or two...

...but I'm afraid that I'm not really that kind of blog...so you'll have to settle for another vampire themed Gothic post like last week...with maybe a bonus at the bottom, lol.

As usual if you have no interest in girls, vampires, girl vampires or perhaps girl vampires in school uniforms then don't scroll down.....

.....

....

...

..

.

The young lady who did all the publicity for the Bloodlines game was far more realistically proportioned than the game character anyway so I suppose a picture or two of her won't hurt...

Wyrd 'Monday' Preview and Something Else...

As usual you're going to get Wyrd's new Monday preview on a Tuesday for a number of reasons but mainly because Wyrd Games refuse to move their headquarters into my spare room...

This is from the upcoming supplement to the Malifaux Through the Breach RPG and is for a new 'Animator' Pursuit (Character Class or Career for you players of other RPG systems...).

I've also extracted this picture from their recent alternate tournament format pdf that may be of interest...

Terminator Genisys - The Miniatures Game

Well this one kinda caught me by surprise...

Alessio Cavatore has announced that he is going to be developing a miniatures game based around the upcoming Terminator Genisys film. Surprisingly it isn't going to be a Kickstarter.

Here's the film preview trailer in case you've no idea what I'm talking about...

and now onto the game...

Details are in somewhat short supply at the moment as you can imagine (what with film licences being involved) but the current plan seems to be to have the game ready at roughly the same time as the film release which is July the 3rd in the UK I believe. That does seem rather optimistic but I'm unsure of how long they've been working on this 'behind the scenes' so perhaps not.

We've seen some model previews already though I must add that these are still in the development stages. Distribution is going to be handled by Warlord Games and the model sculpts are being done by Michael Perry of Perry Miniatures.

I show you the pictures we've got so far next and after that I'll post the 'Google Hangout' video interview with Alessio where he talks about the project...amongst other things...There's also a link to the Facebook group at the very bottom which seems to be the best source for news currently (It's where I stole most of these pictures from).

As I mentioned earlier these are at the early stages so you may have to extrapolate a little, lol.

Of course we'll need some terminators as well. I believe these are 3-ups sculpted by Bob Naismith but I'm not 100% sure about that.

The video I mentioned...you'll have to forgive the guys doing the interview as they're big fans of both Alessio and the genre and get a bit excited at several points, lol.

...and the Facebook Group can be found here.

It's going to be interesting to see what (if any) issues they have with this project considering the trouble Prodos Games have had with their Aliens Vs. Predator Kickstarter...

Sunday Round-up

On Friday I got ran over by a car...more correctly my bike got hit by a car while I was coming home from work but unfortunately I was sitting on it at the time and as I was at the top of a hill at that moment gravity helped out and ensured that I landed at the bottom of the hill...after a few bounces on the concrete. As luck would have it a concrete kerb stopped my descent by virtue of hitting me in the face...

...it wasn't even a cool motor bike either...it was a bicycle so I don't even have the street cred that comes from a really good motorcycle crash...

I now have two sprained wrists*, a damaged shoulder and an eye that looks like it's been hit with a rock...possibly because it hit some rock...I now feel quite nostalgic about both depth perception and the ability to brush my own teeth...

*Those of you with dirty minds can insert your own joke here.

...looking on the bright side it got me out of a Saturday at work by virtue of me coming out of accident and emergency that same morning...but I'll have to wait till Monday to see if anything's been damaged permanently...

Anyway, back in the world of blogging...two weeks of blogging in fact as I didn't do a round-up last Sunday...

I've written some quite good articles on the basics of the .Through the Breach. RPG character creation process, A guide to Kickstarters, a write up of the next part of our Malifaux RPG campaign as well as posting a couple of Wyrd Games Previews that you may have missed consisting of a model render and a lovely new map of Malifaux...

I've also updated the Malifaux crew soulstone value resource as it was very slightly out of date. It now contains all the currently available crews model contents and soulstone values and can be found here.

I was also going to update the newsletter tab today but to be honest my wrists feel like they're on fire just from typing this lot...
