Community Spotlight It’s the season for dread, and once again the Kingdom Death Community does not disappoint! Even in this most frightful of seasons, there’s always beauty to be found among the rot and bones. Here just a few projects we found across the web or from sinister masterminds who tagged us on the official KD Twitter account: @kingdomdeath. Costume Party! These minis are totally set for Halloween thanks to a few clever costumers. Over on Twitter, Lorenzosasso shared their grim-faced take on the Messenger of Courage, gothicly garbed and bloody eyed—brilliant! Preferring seductive to scary, Em [electriceve]'s  Easter Twilight Knight brings a bit of color to the masquerade, especially with bunny lantern glowing candy apple green! Incredible work! Frightlight! Not all lights keep away the ghoulies. Over on Twitter, GFFM’s Halloween White Speaker lantern seems custom designed to rile up souls this All Hallow’s Eve. A truly macabre display piece! Terrifying work! Taking the Stage No one knows about getting into character better than the Lion Knight. And oh wow, did ISWAA go all out on Twitter, putting together one of the most incredible Lion Knight dioramas we’ve ever seen! Make sure you really take a good look at this one, the details in the added water and lanterns are truly something to behold!     Knitmare Steel your heart, gentle reader. We know we’ve showcased many a terror amid these mailings, but none threatens more to unspool your your sanity and your heartstrings than Twist Gaming’s knitwork Infant Sunstalker! We definitely don’t want to leave this happy little rainbow-chucker in the Sacred Pool. A Little Night(mare) Music Want to make your Kingdom Death experience a bit more ominous? Have a particularly unsettling showdown planned? Want to really play up the horror in “nightmare horror?” Nothing helps like a little background music. For your Kingdom Death sessions this Halloween, try dimming the lights and putting on a few of these spooky stations. It’s easy to do, but the ambiance is sure to add a new level of dread to your KD campaign! If you’re looking for places to start, hop over to YouTube and check out these awesomely ominous channels! The Guild of Ambiance: This crew does ambiance right. Never intrusive and with nifty subtly animated backgrounds, The Guild’s Dark Ambiance and Rain & Thunderstorm Sounds are great for foreshadowing all manner of terrors. Cryo Chamer: Particular about your spooky sounds? Cryo Chamber is great for long stretches of low-key ominous, with a variety of mixes and themes. We dig Atrium Carceri, but take a tour and pick your favorite! 10 Hours of Everything: A more general channel than those above, 10 Hours of Everything has… well, you read the title. KDU#36 - Gen Con 2018 Was Outrageous The whole KD team industriously prepared for Gen Con this year, sculpting and printing custom show pieces, packing products to premier at the show, and polishing formidable game demos of never-before-seen game content to share with our fans. White Box Resupply Coming Soon White Boxes are enroute to our warehouses around the world. They will be included in future sales. Kingdom Death at Gen Con 2018! Boundless thanks to the amazing Kingdom Death community who made our fourth year at Gen Con our most exciting by far! This year we tackled more than ever before. You could tell right away from the expanded size of our booth, our packed demo area, and our life-sized Kingsman security guard! Belle of the Ball We had the opportunity to share a stunning sculpt with our fans. Feast your eyes on the endless detail of the Gambler. Deadly Demos Crowds also packed the demo tables all four days, swarming to be among the first to get a taste of the Black Knight and Screaming God expansions. We went all out for these demos, creating dozens of special pieces to bring the Black Knight's cloister and the Screaming God's stampede to life! Check out some video fan coverage of the Black Knight and Screaming God death-a-thons! Our Fans Are the BEST But the best part of the show for us is always the fans, especially those eager to share their awesome Kingdom Death projects! For some this was fan art and personal designs, for others it was showing off custom paint-jobs. But some of the most incredible projects came from the Kingdom Death cosplayers, like an entire hunting party of first-year survivors and Aranel (of Aranel Cosplay) with her 20-Year Savior, Necromancer, and other costumes! Completely jaw-dropping work! Of course there was more: more run-ins with veteran fans, more new players wowed by their first games, more great interactions with folks excited for what's next. Gen Con's always a complete blur, but it's a weekend like no other. We might bring the game, but it's the players that bring the excitement and who keep the adrenaline running high all weekend long. Many thanks to everyone who came and visited the Kingdom Death booth at Gen Con 2018! And if we missed you, don’t worry, we’ll definitely be back in Indy with even more Kingdom Death next year!

Daily fans go out of their ways to share their incredible projects with us. Here are just a few that caught our eye, whether found out there on the web or fired directly to us at the official Kingdom Death Twitter account @kingdomdeath Wave 2 & Expansions of Death Sale We experienced a shortage of Lion God and Green Knight Armor expansions at our EU warehouses. Leading us to reroute 100 shipments to ensure backers got their rewards. At this time, we need anyone that is still expecting Wave 2 rewards and has not gotten any notification from us, to reach out so we can take care of outstanding wave 2 issues. Base & Prime Studio has an illuminating take on the 1.5 Update’s Old Joe, modeling a tiny, working light into this veteran’s lantern. We don’t know what else to call this besides “brilliant!” You can also see the miniature light’s “on/off” operation in the video here. One Pristine Beetle With all the incredible paint jobs we see on Kingdom Death models it’s easy for us to focus on the truly unusual projects. Still, there are definitely times where artistry alone catches our eyes, as was definitely the case with the Dung Beetle Knight from @fenpaints! Absolutely loving the detail on each carapace crack and wing freckle! And, if you’re not done being wowed, or need some inspiration for your own designs, check out more of Fen Paints’s Kingdom Death work on Instagram. A Gorm Never Forgets Look what @UpDogGames did to our baby-faced Gorm! Wrinkled and withered, ages of tromping and unrelenting Gorm Climate have really worn on our buddy here. It’s a take on one of KD’s more infamous monsters that borrows tones and stylings from the ancient Gorm found in the Gorm rulebook. We absolutely love seeing conversions like this, especially that focus on those elusive legendary monsters—so if you’ve got a Beast of Sorrow or Golden Eyed King of 1,000 Years in the works, let us know!! Spotlight Survivors If you’re looking for a short, specific lesson on Kingdom Death miniatures and painting light, then Mathieu Fontaine Miniature Art  has you covered. From lanterns illuminating survivors’ clothes to fiery-eyed monsters, there’s plenty of inspiration here for stoking your own model painting skills.

Lucky Elder Congrats to Tyler Harris for reaching a new Hunt XP milestone! This year, though, in lieu of a weapon proficiency, he got this amazing Kingdom Death Lantern cake.
