Unboxing Malifaux - Ramos's 'Miners and Steamfitters Union'

1.5 Ramos Unboxing.

In the likely event that you actually wanted to see the new M2E plastic version of this crew then you need to go and have a look here. If it's the original metal version that you're looking for then read on...

As Wyrd's Malifaux game is now on version 2 (also known as M2E) the 1.5 cards shown are obsolete but are included for completion purposes or if for some reason your still playing the 1.5 version.

The Box - Front and Rear.

With the unboxing articles that cover metal models I'll be taking the initial pictures without any cleaning up so you can see them 'warts and all'...

Ramos.

Steamborg Executioner.

Arachnid Swarms.
These can be assembled individually on 30mm bases in order to create Steampunk Arachnids or three to a 40mm base to create a Steampunk Arachnid Swarm. Enough stat cards are included to cover whichever combination you select.

Ramos - Assembled.
A simple two part model. The contact point is small but not problematic.

Steamborg Executioner - Assembled.
Make sure your happy with the legs positioning before gluing, especially if you have a specific pose in mind or if your creating a scenic base of some kind. The arms are fairly heavy but there's a large point of contact with the models body making the fit a good one. The one pincer is in two pieces and the smaller part may require some filing in order to get a decent fit...at least on mine it did...

Steampunk Arachnid and Steampunk Arachnid Swarm - Assembled.
The separate legs are small ans somewhat fiddly. Tweezers, glue activator, patience or some combination of the three are all useful during assembly.

Thoughts and comments are (as usual) most welcome.

  1. I think when it comes to Ramoa his old metal models are better.

    1. I think that both the old and the new have distinct enough styles so you have to think of them as different crews altogether really. I like aspects of both though when it comes to assembly they both have issues, lol.
