Also if either the Eldar and/or Chaos Space Marine Player from the final would like to get in touch I'd be interested in hearing about their gaming strategies as both of them did remarkably well with Codices and army lists which didn't fit the 'net-list' mould at all.
I'll drop the last few into a post tomorrow before getting back to all the usual stuff.
Chaos vs Eldar in the final eh? Nice to see the internet getting proved wrong. Again. =)
ReplyDeletealso no guard, blood angels or space wolves and 2 necron players!
ReplyDeleteBefore either of you get too cocky, bear in mind that I was able to walk in and exclaim quietly "it's like fourth edition in here". I suspect that this was not the kind of event that the Internet advice and discourse is geared towards.
ReplyDelete@ Von - There were a lot of 4th Edition style lists there admittedly. Also some of the 'comp' style regulations and missions discouraged certain list types. The 'Night Fight all game' mission in particular was responsible for at least 2 Imperial Guard players leaving their preferred lists at home and taking alternatives.
ReplyDeleteAll that aside there should be as much room for 'hobby' events as uber competitive tournaments if that's what some people prefer.
