I fucking hate Pirates. When did dying of Scurvy, Typhus and Pulmonary Tuberculosis while on a weevil and rat infested piece of rotting wood become cool?
Apparently some people actually
like pirates which was a bit of a surprise to me..... admittedly a giant mechanical squid powered by Chaos Dwarves is an interesting idea.....

Disappointed with this. Would rather had warhammer quest re-launched :)
ReplyDeleteMan those look cool. What I don't get is why limited numbers. That and Space Hulk should sell more than the entire specialist games range.
ReplyDelete@ Silar Lannanaris - I would personally have liked to have seen a more balanced BFG rule-set or a Space Hulk expansion before a game about pirates.....but then I think pirates suck so I don't think I'm the target market for this game, lol.
ReplyDelete@ Gx1080 - The models do look nice but GW have a terrible record when it comes to continued support of their specialist games. Hell, they don't even support their own Warhammer or 40K expansions for very long (if at all).
ReplyDeleteI want heroquest re-released then they can take my money, but for that box'o'crap no.
ReplyDeleteI was in GW on Friday and a bunch of staffers asked if I was coming in yesterday to see the 'secret release'. I said 'To see a re-invented Man'o'War? No!' They said 'It's nothing to do with Man'o'War.' I agree with them that it isn't CALLED Man'o'War but 'pirate fleet battles in the Warhammer universe' is as damn close to an updated Man'o'War as people are going to get. I also will not be buying this as I have no interest whatsoever.
