Although the Sphyr were the predominant sentient race on their home planet, they were far from the only one. The vast underwater cities were home to hundreds of races, many of which were wiped out when the seas were boiled away. The Sephalin were among the more numerous survivors thanks to their position as diplomats in the Sphyrian fleet. They are graceful creatures both on land and underwater, with practised knack for hiding their nature as deadly predators; to cross a Sephalin is to invite a swift death, crushed by their tentacles or devoured by their vicious secondary maw. Irsala is one of the few of her kind to take to DreadBall, putting her talent for working a crowd to great use. Many a hulking Guard has underestimated her, taking her for a soft-spoken show-off before swiftly being taught the error of their ways.

Iron Ancestors are normally found striding to battle at the head of the Forge Father military, wading into the deepest fighting where their incredible armour and high-tech weaponry can be put to best use. Usually piloted by Steel Warriors, some Brokkr clans also have access to Iron Ancestor suits, and are not above modifying them for the DreadBall arena…
