Unboxing Malifaux - M2E Nekima

Every-one wants to be in charge...

These were part of the Wyrd Games 'Black Friday' sale and some of those models are pre-release and therefore are yet to have proper boxes so this is technically an un-bagging rather than an un-boxing. When the boxed versions become available I'll alter the pictures accordingly...

The Nekima box/bag contains enough parts for one miniature...namely Nekima. It also contains a stat card for her and one upgrade card.

The box has one sprue in it as well as the aforementioned cards...

Should there be any assembly issues with the model then they will be listed in the appropriate section and you can view larger versions of the smaller pictures by clicking on them. Wyrd Miniatures also seem to have stopped putting instructions in things and instead give you a leaflet with a web address on it that leads to a number of links...and sometimes they don't even bother with that, lol. I've put them here for your convenience. Just click on it for a larger version...

Stat Card and Upgrade Card

Some of the parts are a bit thin (the tail, pony-tail and the horns on the head) so you need to be careful both when removing them from the sprue and when attaching them to the model. Other than that the location points for the parts are obvious enough and there are no issues.

Because of the dynamic nature of the model it was difficult to get pictures I was happy with so I've taken a few others from different angles so you can see the bits obscured in the usual above 'front, back, right and left' ones.

Here's some additional close-ups...

Comparison Picture.
Here's a comparison picture. The original model is much larger but I don't think any-ones going to miss that 'precariously balanced on one foot' pose...at least no-one whose ever had to repair that ankle will miss it...

Thoughts and comments are (as usual) most welcome.

  1. Thanks for another unboxing, I'm looking forward to receiving this model as I've wanted to paint it since I saw the new artwork.
