Welcome to Newsletter 146 |
We only got a small number of new products to show you this newsletter, so we'll use you time and space to tell you a little more about what's coming up than we normally do.
|
The first thing to say is our Kev is taking some (much needed) time off this month, so we might not get another newsletter out to let you know about the new Frostgrave product as it's launched. In which case make sure you keep an eye on our website and Facebook/ Twitter for announcements.
|
In June, Frostgrave are launching three new products. A new supplement called Maze of Malcor, the return of the spell cards (remember those!) in a new package called the Grimoire and a second novel titled Oathgold. There isn't a new plastic box set of figures, but we have a new Wizards to go with the rules detailed in Maze of Malcor. If we don't get an actual Nickstarter underway, we will have some super pre-order offers for you, keep in touch!

Speaking of Frostgrave, look out for the Rangifer Warbandin this newsletter. The Rangifer Warband contains one new figure, the Rangifer Shaman. This figure will be available to buy later this year on it's own, but right now it comes in this discountedWarband deal.

If you are attending the Partizan show in Newark UK on the 20th of May, come along to the joint North Star/ Ainsty Castings stand to check out our figure ranges. We'll also be running a game of Dracula's America with the author Jonathan Haythornthwaite and a Fantasy game with our Oathmarkcollection. If there's something you specifically want, order it before hand to avoid disappointment. Place the order, let us know you want to collect and we'll refund the postage. Just ask me or Andy for the package on the day.

Looking forward to future newsletters, you can expect to see new miniatures from Artizan Design, they have new Soviet WW2characters and new Wild West figures. Crusader Miniatures have a full WW2 Partisans range coming, Eastern Europe notFrance. Great War Miniatures have some new 1918 WW1 figures, that actually will feature in their game at Partizan on the 20th of May. North Star and Osprey are planning a big Nickstarter pre-release program for the 3rd and final supplement to Dracula's America called Forbidden Power, bringing you lots of new figures to represent the new posses.

Fate of a Nation The fate of a nation hangs in the balance. Israel cannot afford to lose a single battle. One defeat would mean the destruction of the tiny Jewish state. Not waiting to be attacked by the Arab forces massing on its borders, Israel strikes first. Hundreds of tanks sweep across the border and punch through the enemy defences, with infantry following up to clear the way for the advance to continue. Fate of a Nation brings the Arab-Israeli Wars to the tabletop, allowing players to recreate the sweeping operations that helped to shape the Middle East. Take command of your forces and see how you fare in one of the Cold War's most volatile regions. |
Last Days: Zombie Apocalypse A GAME OF SURVIVAL HORROR Last Days: Zombie Apocalypse is a skirmish-scale miniatures game of survival horror. It pits players against each other in a nightmarish near-future where the dead have returned to life and are feasting on the living. Players build their own factions, representing desperate civilians, military personnel, or hardened survivors, and must explore, scavenge, and fight in order to survive another day. Rival gangs are only one of the dangers they face - mindless zombies wander the streets, driven by insatiable hunger and drawn by the sound of combat! A gang's ability to scavenge is as vital as their combat ability, and players must ensure that they have the resources to survive in this hostile world. Scenarios and campaigns allow you to develop your gang, gain experience and recruit new henchmen to build up your strength or replace the inevitable casualties of the zombie apocalypse. |

BALIAN D’IBELIN What man is a man who does not make the world better? Balian d’Ibelin. Balian d’Ibelin, also known as the “Shaear Wahid” or “Hairy One” due to his notably thick body hair, was a Crusader noble of the Kingdom of Jerusalem in the 12th century. He fought at the Battle of Hattin and in defence of the Kingdom of Jerusalem, leading the knights he raised from the ranks against Saladin’s forces. Later in life, he supported Conrad, a candidate for the kingship in opposition to Richard I, the former being assassinated on Richard’s orders. We have chosen to depict him as portrayed by Orlando Bloom in the largely fictionalized account of his life in the movie Kingdom of Heaven. |
