"Surprise..."
The Ferdinand Vogel 'The Beast Within' box contains enough parts for two miniatures...namely Ferdinand Vogel and The Beast Within. It also contains stat cards for them though there are no upgrade cards.
Ferdinand Vogel 'The Beast Within' - Sprue
The box has one sprue in it split into two pieces (so it actually fits in the box one presumes) as well as the aforementioned cards. Here's pictures of both sides of them and close-ups of the sub-assemblies.
Ferdinand Vogel 'The Beast Within' - Stat Cards
Stat cards in the official format can now be downloaded from Wargame Vault for a nominal fee from HERE.
Should there be any assembly issues with the model then they will be listed in the appropriate section and you can view larger versions of the smaller pictures or instruction pictures by clicking on them.

Some General Notes on Assembly
Many of these models contain quite small parts so depending on how dexterous you are you might consider getting yourself some tweezers. Dry-fitting is also always a good idea in case a part needs a tiny bit of extra filing or filling as some of the fits are quite tight. Where the parts on the sprue are quite thin (chains, weapon shafts, cables and the like) then it might be better to remove parts with a sharp scalpel rather than cutters.

Ferdinand Vogel - Assembled
Other than the relatively small two-part hat and the thin but surprisingly sturdy walking cane this model is a simple build. The parts have decently sized and obvious attachment points and the two hands align well without effort.
The Beast Within - Assembled
The pieces are large and slot together but the joins don't seem flush internally so despite the end result being a fairly good fit it does look slightly odd at various stages of assembly. I'd recommend gluing the hat together before adding it to the head as there's no real location point and adding it afterwards will probably result in the rim part falling off...though to be fair you can glue it anywhere on the top of the head really as the slight hair shaped grooves beneath don't seem to locate anywhere in particular with any feel that they've locked in place.
It definitely needs each piece to be dry-fitted before gluing to check the exterior faces join up properly. I took this picture before squeezing it all together so you can see the external meeting points.
Add the tail before the cloak as the cloak obscures the recess.

Thoughts and comments are (as usual) most welcome.
I purchase my miniatures from Leodis Games (Link Below) and can highly recommend them.
Should you ever choose to purchase something based on one of my features or reviews then it would be nice if you could let the company know where the inspiration came from...who knows...they might be grateful to the poor unappreciated blogger who sent you their way...if however I've put you off a product...well...you can keep that info to yourself...
