Unboxing Malifaux - M2E Angelica

"Introducing...The Mistress of Ceremonies..."

The Angelica box contains enough parts for one miniature...namely Angelica. It also contains a stat card for her though there are no upgrade cards.

Angelica - Sprue
The box has one sprue in it as well as the aforementioned card. Here's pictures of both sides of it...

Angelica - Stat Card
Wyrd Games didn't like my publishing pictures of both sides of the stat cards so you'll have to make do with this...

Should there be any assembly issues with the model then they will be listed in the appropriate section and you can view larger versions of the smaller pictures or instruction pictures by clicking on them.

Angelica - Instructions

Some General Notes on Assembly.
Many of these models contain quite small parts so depending on how dexterous you are you might consider getting yourself some tweezers. Dry-fitting is also always a good idea in case a part needs a tiny bit of extra filing or filling as some of the fits are quite tight. Where the parts on the sprue are quite thin (chains, weapon shafts, cables and the like) then it might be better to remove parts with a sharp scalpel rather than cutters.

Angelica - Assembled
The walking cane is really thin and delicate and her thumb is attached to it so this is the part you'll need to take care with and dry-fitting is recommended so you get the angle correct when you add glue. I'd also attach the fur before the leg as imo the leg then fits better. Other than that the model is issue free.

Angelica - Comparison Picture
Here's a couple of comparison pictures between the original metal version and the new M2E plastic one. As you can see they're very similar in pose though the newer plastic one has more detail in a couple of areas.

Thoughts and comments are (as usual) most welcome.

  1. I spent some time putting this model together last night and used the instructions on this site. That length of feather boa is a little tricky to put into place (I'd unfortunately glued the legs on first), but it has come out as a beautiful model. She'll be taking her place next to the other Smoke & Mirrors crew very soon.

    1. It is a lovely model. It is very close to the original metal one though...I prefer it when they're distinct rather than just identical plastic versions of the metal ones...this ones just different enough for me to let them off ;-)
