Available now from our friends The H.P. Lovecraft Historical Society, Dark Adventure Radio Theatre's Brotherhood of the Beast is their first-ever radio play adaption of a classic Call of Cthulhu supplement!

Dark Adventure Radio Theatre's The Brotherhood of the Beast is an epic tale of globe-trotting adventure inspired by the works of H.P. Lovecraft, presented as a 1930s-style radio drama.

One of Chaosium's most thrilling game supplements — Keith Herber's The Fungi From Yuggoth — has been adapted into a fully dramatized 3 disc super episode. And, inspired by the game upon which it is based, this production features four different endings!

Brotherhood of the Beast is available now as a 3 CD set or digital download. And see below about the incredible Deluxe Edition, featuring six pounds of props!

Hardback Print Edition (+ free PDF) available NOW from
The Coming Storm is the first part of an epic HeroQuest Glorantha campaign taking the Red Cow Clan through the opening days of the Hero Wars. This book provides everything you need to run a classic clan-based Sartarite campaign.

Note: if you previously bought the PDF version of the Coming Storm from our website, we'll credit your early purchase so you can get the physical copy + PDF for the same price as those who buy when the hardback version becomes available. Look out for the coupon we'll send you by email.

Cthulhu ends 2016 Presidential Bid

Long before the candidates were even nominated we commissioned this as part of Chaosium's long-running 'Cthulhu for President' schtick. At the time we never dreamed it would end up being for real...

(BTW Chaosium itself is strictly non-partisan: we only endorse Cthulhu. If 'President Cthillary' had won, we'd have cheerfully made something along the same lines satirizing her election too!)

The Brotherhood of the Beast - Deluxe Edition

Dark Radio Theatre's The Brotherhood of the Beast was written with prop aficionados and gamers in mind. The story feels like a Call of Cthulhu game unfolding as you listen, and to add to the fun, the Deluxe Edition features 54 props to pore over as the adventure unfolds! As characters in the show find clues, you'll find them too.

Full eight-column newspaper pages, large-format maps, letters, pages from unspeakable tomes and much more: you'll be immersed in the action with the kind of crazed verisimilitude only the H.P. Lovecraft Historical Society can offer.

Six pounds of props! (note the human arm for scale...)
All the props come bundled in Nate Ward's vintage Miskatonic University shoulder bag (while stocks last) with an internal accordion file to keep them all straight. An included Listener Guide lets you know when to pause the audio, protects you from spoilers, and dishes up a role-playing audio adventure you'll never forget. The Deluxe Edition contains the full 3 CD version of the show, plus more than six pounds of props!
What is Ab Chaos?
(...from Ab Chaos #7, May 31 1992)

Ab - Latin "from"
Chaos - (1) Any condition or place of total disorder (modern vernacular); (2) the disordered state of unformed matter which preceded creation (since Milton, Paradise Lost); (3) the dark, empty space which preceded creation (Greek Mythology); (4) the [formerly] Californian roleplaying game company.

Ab Chaos is an informal newsletter for Chaosium fans. Through our history we have tried to serve the players and gamemasters through craft and art as well as (and sometimes at the expense of) marketing and moneymaking. We appreciate your loyalty, and offer this communication to those who are curious about us, beyond the mere "product".

It is planned to be informal and irregular. We are, after all, not the Orderium.
