Hasslefree Miniatures Newsletter

Some Salute related news from Hasslefree Miniatures...

All Steam Ahead for Salute!
Hey everyone :) So, as with every year around this time, everything here is like 50% regular work, 50% Salute prep, and that percentage will swing slowly worse as we get closer to the date!

On the positive side, this is the time of year we we buy in more products to try out and get new moulds done etc. So for all of you who aren't making it to the show then there's still a lot of good happening that you get to benefit from :)
You can keep up with events on a more regular basis via our FB page as usual, but there'll be weekly newsletters for the next month, just to keep track of happenings and releases.

Salute Pre-Order Code
As always there's a nice freebie on offer for those of you who order your Salute goodies in advance. You can pick from an extensive list of items (35 different codes from across our entire range!)

The code this year is the highly original 'SALUTE2017', and please remember you enter it on the 'confirmation' page, which is the last one before payment details. There's a box at the top of the page.
(Every code we get people writing it in the comments box, other than making me smile, that does absolutely nothing! :) )

Also if your order is over £60 then the chosen freebie will be dropped into a lil HF goodie bag, if you order over £120 it'll be a double sized bag and so on!

The code wil be active until Tuesday the 18th of April!
We aren't packing any pre-orders after that date, you'll just have to bring your lil scrappy piece of paper with you and we can both struggle to read your writing ;)
FOR ANYONE NOT GOING TO SALUTE!

This is 'not' a free delivery code, this is a 'collection' code. If you use it to try and get free delivery it won't work as we do 'not' see your address. Collection codes blank that for us so we couldn't even accidentally send it to you :)

Any orders coming through this way will sit in a box until we get back from Salute and then we'll email you to invoice for postage, it's really not a good idea :D

Why Pre-Order?
Well, it's a good idea in general, you get a freebie and your particular goodies won't sell out, but there are two specific groups of items that you really should consider pre-ordering if going to Salute.
1. Resin Masters. We do 'not' take Resin Masters to the show* unless they are in a pre-order bag.
Don't turn up looking for a Foster or an Immortan Drumpf, they won't be there!

2. Red Box (or other non-HF items). Our retail stock is far more limited than our HF stock. If you don't pre-order and you aren't one of the first to reach us then you could easily find yourself out of luck for that special Njorn Ravager or Aenglish Thug!

(A Red Box restock is on the way, and is expected this week, next week's newsletter will have details for those of you who want to wait for that :) )

*See the one exception in the 'And Finally...' section at the bottom of this newsletter.

Where are We?
If you've been to Salute at the Excel before, then you know where we are :)
Once again we are in 'Hasslefree Corner', with the new queueing and entrance system in the next hall (represented by the two arrows on the right) then we are at the back left corner after entering the hall.

Our stand number is TM02 and we are also running two participation games (1 Sci-Fi, and 1 Fantasy), in concert with the Random Platpus community, ably manned by Matt 'McFonz' Canning and Alan 'Wait, What' Jefferies, on GM01.
(More details on these in next week's newsletter)

If you click on the map, it'll pop-up larger, in case you can't see the red circle at the bottom left ;)

As with previous years, you may want to make a beeline for us early as...

Salute Pre-Release Metals
I'm afraid we are at the mercy of our, most excellent, casters as to how many of our April, May and June releases show up in time to be pre-release metals for Salute.

What I can tell you is..

a) You can't buy them through the site or pre-order them, you have to come see us and pick them up in person,

b) They will be limited in stock, so first come, first served and...

c) We will be 'trying' to have the following available...

Apprentice Raisa
Archmage Raisa
Cara
Seren a Delyth
Daev
Grond
Alex H
Danica
Ryan
Pulse
Pilot Hannah
Larran Jax

.. and maybe even more! Whatever we can get moulded we will have with us at the show and some of them will not be available through the site until June.

Resin Master - Foster Redux
Foster is the stereotypical 'trucker with a heart of gold'. A tough guy on the outside and marshmallow on the inside, seen here with his trademarked snarl, a Tec 9  and the most feared weapon in the truckers arsenal, the mullet.

(Foster has been slightly changed, with the addition of a knife)

Resin Master - Lord Karghoul
Lord Karghoul, favoured of the Dark Gods and longtime rival of Ulthrak. Encased in thick darksteel armour and ensorcelled helm, Karghoul has long since been nothing but an extension of the Dark God's will.
Standing at 35mm tall with a wide stance, Karghoul is a chunky miniature indeed.

Resin Master - Ariniel
Ariniel is an Elf of the Western Sea. His people ae descended from inland Wood Elves but have long since favoured the coast and are able sailors.
Ariniel is the first sculpt for us by our new sculptor Ari Nielsson. He's just part time at the moment but we hope to bring you more by his talnted hand over the next year :)

Resin Master - Dwarf Male Dolly
Standing Dwarf Male, approximately 25mm in height with awide stance and outstretched hand.
This is one of our premium dollies, technically a Resin Master and taken directly from a master mould of Kev's green. They are primarily for sculpting practise but have also been used by customers to simply add their own hair/weapons/equipment and create their perfect miniature.
No licensing is implied or given with this dolly.

Resin Masters - Striding Male Dolly
Striding Tall Male, approximately 34mm in height with an extreme muscular build.
This is one of our premium dollies, technically a Resin Master and taken directly from a master mould of Kev's green. They are primarily for sculpting practise/inspiration but have also been used by customers to simply add their own hair/weapons/equipment and create their perfect miniature.
No licensing is implied or given with this dolly.

Metal Re-Release - Mystic Family
A multi-pack of all the 'Whites in Spaaaaace' Mystic Family members, at a discount, plus a bonus selection of  fluorescent acrylic rods thrown in for FREE!
Re-Released with the fresh remouldnig of Mystic LIbby and Mystic Panda :D

Metal - Jakevim the Swine
Jakevim is the Patriarch of the infamous Southern Barbarian family. Husband to Yllsa and father to the growing brood that is the next generation. Seen here dressed for the summer at the family home on the broders of Tana, and carrying his runic bastard sword.
There are three things you don't ask Jakevim about; his nickname, his height and his hair.  Any one of them might get you a close up look at those runes.

Metal - Yllsa the Believable
The long-suffering partner of Jakevim the Swine, Yllsa is known for two things; the first, being able to smack the bejeezus out of you and the second being particularly forthright. Attired here for the summer at their home on the border of Tana, and carrying her very large rune-axe.
The couple's nicknames are pretty representative of their personalities, best not to ask Jakevim about it though, he gets quite ... opinionated.

Metal - Ynjen
The oldest of Jakevim's brood of dangerous children, Ynjen is a born hunter. A crack shot with a bow and an excellent tracker she has saved the family innumerable amounts of gold with her ability to find a good meal.
Armed with her trusty shortbow and wearing the remains of one ofher best kills.

Metal - Arkein
The second oldest of the brood and a typical teenage boy in many respects, Arkein still take after his father in many others (not just the hair). Named after a seer sensed magicks within the boy at birth. He has yet to show such abilities, in public at least.
Armed with a runesword crafted by his father and dressed for the Tana summer.

Metal - Angme
Angme is the youngest daughter of the southern barbarian family headed by Yllsa & Jakevim. Seen here with twin daggers which she took up after reading tales of the Pirate Queen, Xanthia.

Metal - Kule
Kule is the baby of the family, but this is a very special family so that should in no way lull you into a false senseof security. Not only is he Jakevim's son to the core but any passing Wizard casting an eye over his aura would see him practically light up with enchanted items.

Metal - Jakevim's Brood
Jakevim and Yllsa's adventuring family in one happy, discounted, multi-pack!

Resin Master - Chip & Batle Chip
Chip, and his more armoured version, Battle Chip have both been released a while but we had them painted up with the family.
These are still Resin Masters, we are workingon a way to get them into metal but that won't be until well after Salute so we thought we'd show the paintjobs off with the metal release of the Brood :)

Metal - Chipster
Chipster is one of the survivors of the same dark line experimentation that resulted in both Smudgester and H4.  Seen here well after his escape, fully armoured in a custom made powersuit and armed with a Heavy Shard gun somehow acquired from the Galactic Navy, equipped with the thermal injection unit.

Metal - Chipster Spaceclad
Chipster is one of the survivors of the same dark line experimentation that resulted in both Smudgester and H4.  Seen here armed with genetically enhanced strength and razor sharp claws and armoured in 5 incheses of pure muscle.

Red Box - Restock & New Releases!
Ok, technically the restock is not in yet, and we'll remind you of it in next Sunday's newsletter 'but' it'll arrive this week andbe added to the system as soon as that happens so we thought we'd tell you about it in advance :)
With the restock will also come a number of new Red Box releases, and we'll be adding them this week too!

And Finally...
More metal restocks have arrived, mostly of our older minis but a lot of those are still popular (As I can tell by the constant badgering of when they are coming back! ;) ). So if you were waiting for something then best to have another check, it might be back in.

A number of the currently outof stock minis are on their way to us, Ulfred and Wolf for example. We've also fixed a number of old moulds which will also be on their way to us, news of both the restocks and the moulds next week.
In the run up to Salute, Resin Masters will be the most last-minute releases. If you want to keep up to date with any of those last minute creations, then keep an eye on Kev's artist page on FB. Anything he gets finished before the show stands a chance of showing up, and in fact these last minute minis will be the 'only' Resin Masters we bring!

Our apologies for the recent months 'haphazard' nature of things, I managed to have approximately 5 oral surgeries through the winter, which was ... unpleasant. It put a dent in things we are only just recovered from.

Stop complaining about Iron Fist, it was fine! ;)
I hope that's it, that was a long ass day!

'til next time,

Arty.
