A new RPG campaign from Sandy Petersen...
-------------------
Announcing Sandy's first published RPG Campaign adventure in a LOOOOOONG Time
[http://]

Who, what, when, where, how?

Who? - Sandy has developed the outline, and will work closely with the developers to turn his campaign vision into a full manuscript. The lead developer will be Mark Carroll*** plus junior developers, notably Jonah Bomgaars, to assist in such a massive project.
***Mark Carroll has written material for 3.5e, and has writing credits for the Modiphius CONAN (lead writer on Book of Skelos, Horrors of the Hyborian Age), John Carter, and Dishonored lines. He also worked on the 20th anniversary edition of Wraith: The Oblivion. And in his words, "Cosmic horror is my jam."
What? - Yig Snake Grandaddy will be a single volume campaign for Levels 1-15. It is divided into four adventures, each in turn divided into 3-4 acts (for a total of 14 acts). We are aiming for a fully laid out book of around 300 pages (similar in scope to something like Rage of Demons).
When? - We are working on it now, and it will be published and released in 2019. Likely mid-year, but we aren't ready to release the release dates yet.
Where? - Probably not a Kickstarter campaign, but rather a direct to market affair. We might have a pre-order campaign on our website just before sending the files to the printer, however.
How? - with esoteric lore, of course. And yes, that is a Serpent Man riding a triceratops on the front cover. A triceratops brought back from its extinct, fossilized state by dark magic. Also you may ask, "Is the entire world threatened by this plot?" Yes, of course.

very brief history of Sandy's RPG career for the uninitiated:

Sandy has written tons....and tons.....and tons....of RPG material. (Seriously, tons, as in over 2000 pounds of material. His credits (in some capacity) are on virtually every Chaosium RPG product between 1981 to 1988 or so.  In addition to the Call of Cthulhu RPG itself (and several other RPGS in this time), he wrote and developed the Ghostbusters RPG, which in turn influenced many other RPG systems. Frankly, Wikipedia can summarize better than us:
The Ghostbusters RPG won the 1986 H.G. Wells Award for Best Roleplaying Rules. In 1999 Pyramid magazine named Ghostbusters as one of The Millennium's Most Underrated Games. Editor Scott Haring noted that Ghostbusters was "the first-ever RPG to use the dice pool mechanic" and "the game did a great job of catching the zany feel of the movies."
But until the Pathfinder edition of Sandy Petersen's Cthulhu Mythos (released earlier this year), Sandy hadn't been creating RPG material (for publication) regularly.
Except yes, he did write this recently as well:
So...does this mean there will be more RPG stuff from Sandy and Petersen Games? YES! In fact, Sandy is already working on 2 OTHER 5e campaigns for SPCM, beyond Yig Snake Grandaddy, not to mention the already announced RPG 5e sourcebook for his Planet Apocalypse board game.

Interested in working on one of Sandy's upcoming RPG campaigns?
If you have author or developer credit for any 5e publication, maybe we can work together. If you're interested in contributing, e-mail our support with your RPG credits and resume - and any special reasons we should consider you.

Hyperspace Test Pilots Are Ecstatic
While attending the debut of Utah County's first game convention called Timp Con, we fortuitously ran into one of our Test Pilots, Kolby, who is the organizer of the event.
