The band is getting back together...
The 'Crossroads Seven' box rather unsurprisingly contains enough parts for seven miniatures...namely The Crossroads Seven (Envy, Gluttony, Greed, Lust, Pride, Sloth and Wrath), It also contains stat cards for each one and a single '0' value upgrade card for Wrath that's only usable when all seven of the Crossroads Seven are used together. Wrath has a rule called 'Lead Singer' that allows him to hire the rest of the Crossroads Seven despite them all being from different factions and ignores the usual 40 soulstone maximum crew size when using a Henchman as a leader as long as...yes, you've guessed it...you use all of the Crossroads Seven...
This makes the Soulsstone value of the box when all models are used together...
Wrath (0), Envy, Gluttony, Greed, Lust, Pride and Sloth (8 each) total (48) or (50) with a maximum Soulstone cache and (50) with maximum 'out of the box' upgrades.
Sprues
The box has two sprues in it as well as the aforementioned cards. Here's pictures of both sides of them...
Stat Cards
Wyrd Games didn't like my publishing pictures of both sides of the stat cards so you'll have to make do with this...
This box also contains several story encounters and an adventure for Wyrd Games 'Through the Breach' RPG from which I'll post a few sample pages for your perusal.
Lets have a look at each of these models in turn. Should there be any assembly issues with any of the models then they will be listed in the appropriate section and you can view larger versions of the smaller pictures or instruction pictures by clicking on them.
Instructions
Some General Notes on Assembly.
Many of these models contain quite small parts so depending on how dexterous you are you might consider getting yourself some tweezers. Dry-fitting is also always a good idea in case a part needs a tiny bit of extra filing or filling as some of the fits are quite tight. Where the parts on the sprue are quite thin (chains, weapon shafts, cables and the like) then it might be better to remove parts with a sharp scalpel rather than cutters.
Wrath
The Sprue
Assembled
According to the artwork the 'spirits' in the rear section are meant to be positioned so that two of them are leaning on Wrath's shoulder and one is holding his leg, the instructions seem to indicate that you can get the two highest ones to lean on his shoulder and after assembly I agree that both things are 'theoretically' possible...however I could only get one to place it's hand on the aforementioned shoulder before laziness set in. The figure of Wrath goes together easily and the three spirits are also a decent fit as long as you're systematic with your assembly process.
Rathnard has made this observation in the comments section that may explain why I couldn't get things to align...
Hey Gmort, having just assembled my own Wrath, i think you got yours wrong. The spirit leaning down toward Wraths right hand (his perspective) - his left arm is either glued at the wrong angle or its been swapped with the bottom spirits arm.
Either way, once it's glued properly you can get wrath close enough for that arm (not hand) to be resting on Wraths shoulder, much like it shows in the render.
I hope that makes sense!

I've done some extra pictures of this one as there's quite a lot to see...
Envy
The Sprue
Assembled
The model consists of large, easy to handle parts with only the driver of the contraption having some small fiddly aspects. The right arm has one of the controls attached to it and this aligns with an appropriate indentation in the control panel. The large side sections each has a different shaped location piece so you don't get them the wrong way around though they needed a bit of trimming to fit properly (or mine did at least).
The model will fit on the 50mm base (just). I just fancied something a bit more scenic hence the 'walking off the edge' pose.
Some close-ups...
Gluttony
The Sprue
Assembled
The model is in six large pieces and had no issues at all.
Greed
Sprue
Assembled
The guitar neck may be a little delicate so be careful with that part though alignment with the arm piece was simple. Another easy assembly job though the face piece is a bit small.
Lust
Sprue
Assembled
The violin bow is thin so be careful when removing from the sprue and the violin itself needs to be aligned with some fingers on the arm piece but this wasn't as problematic as I expected. Most of the model consists of the main body so other than the few minor points mentioned it's another fairly simple job to put together.
Pride
Sprue
Assembled
You need to put the models face in place before putting together both halves of the body and the guitar neck is thin so take care with those things. The rest is simple like the other models in the set on 30mm bases...
Sloth
Sprue
Assembled
Four large easy to handle pieces should give you no problems at all.
Thoughts and comments are (as usual) most welcome.
We will! We will! Rock you! :D
ReplyDeleteYet another great unboxing. Thanks man.
